Horror Lasagna

Overview If you like a little history with your horror, this is the film for you. The Croatian – Serbian conflict from the 90’s may not seem that personal to us, but to at least one of the characters in this film, it certainly is personal. Watch a little horror? Check. Learn some history? Check. […] The post S02E08 – The Maus appeared first on Horror Lasagna .

Overview We have a mission – not to Mars but Europa, one of Jupiter’s moons. Hence the title of the movie. If you didn’t get that. This is a rare movie that borders between horror and sci-fi. If you like either, you should like this. Many people did, so you’re wrong if you don’t. 😉 […] The post S02E07 – Europa Report appeared first on Horror Lasagna .

Overview We come to a fairly new horror movie based on the found footage genre. This one uses web cam footage to show us the story and paint the horrific events. There’s […] The post S02E03 – The Den appeared first on Horror Lasagna .

Overview We continue with our season 02 visitations by visiting Ireland. Besides the great accent (at least for Americans) and the beautiful country – we have a monster. Big old tentacled beastie. This movie is a wonderful homage to all the great monster movies from the 50’s through 80’s. It is full of every trope […] The post S02E02 – Grabbers appeared first on Horror Lasagna .

Overview Based on all the very intense horror films we’ve had this season, you’d think horror comedy doesn’t even exist. Oh, my friend, you would be so wrong. Enter Suck – a vampire comedy that is almost a musical. The basic story is about a small time band that becomes famous when they start turning […] The post S01E08 – Suck appeared first on Horror Lasagna .

Overview Another vampire movie, which is interesting because we have 3 vampire movies in season 01 and Rhys doesn’t really care for vampire movies. That should tell you how different they are. Anyway, Let the Right One In shows vampires in a different way than most other movies. First, the vampire is a kid. Second, […] The post S01E07 – Let the Right One In appeared first on Horror Lasagna .

Overview This is an interesting movie for a couple reasons. One of the things to note is that it was shot with a Canon EOS 5D Mark 2. This is another disturbing movie and you spend quite […] The post S01E06 – La Casa Muda appeared first on Horror Lasagna .

There are […] The post S01E05 – The Innocents appeared first on Horror Lasagna .

Overview Triangle is a twisty movie. You might think it’s just a slasher film, but then things change. And change again. Rhys describes this type of movie as a horror loop. Like many of the movies on our list, the writer and director are the same, and this guy has done a great job. For […] The post S01E04 – The Triangle appeared first on Horror Lasagna .

Overview Today’s choice is a vampire movie, but not a typical vampire movie. It’s very much an art piece and there is a lot to discuss.
