Hardcore Listing with Chris & Stu

O. M. G. We made it folks ONE HUNDRED FREAKING EPISODES and Chris still hasn't been incarcerated. What a rollercoaster this has been, visiting our musical heroes like Mike Joyce, Huey Morgan, Mark Moore, Hugo White to name a few. And all the Live shows with amazing guests like Gail Porter, Rich Wilson, Ria Lina and Jordan Gray. To Wild Swimming, getting chased by Zombies and Escaping Locked rooms....

Last weeks guests travelled from Wales, this weeks came all the way from Dublin. Yes Anto from Alpha Project came down to talk to the lads about a Top 5 they could have talked for another 3 hours about. The Alpha Project Podcast has been running over in Dublin for an impressively long time and Anto and his co-host Jayme dress up serious topics in a clown costume before tackling them head-on. Well...

The Dope Ramblings lads Chris and Reece travelled all the way from Wales to have a sit down with Chris and Stu, drink some of the best beers Wales has to offer and talk film. Their top 5 films to be precise. Dope Ramblings is a podcast where each season the guys pick an actor and focus on their career. The good, the bad and the ugly. What's more they chose a film, stick it on and then just comment...

Ben from the simply awesome ACPG podcast joined Whiffen and Glasson at the Hoxton Square Bar and Grill to reflect on those moments in a festival that you remember forever but never knew were coming. Sure you decided to go to Glastonbury to see Stevie Wonder, but you didn't realise a random secret performance by a far smaller band was going to make your day! That happened to you too? Well then you'...

Happy NYE folks, this episode is the final episode we recorded with our awesome sponsor Luke from Bang Boom Creative! We answer a tonne of listener questions to see out the new year and reflect on some of our favorite Christmas memories. What a wonderful evening we had with our sponsor Luke from Bang Boom. He showed up wearing a Bungle outfit just for Stu and bought a whole host of goodies with him too! Not that we needed any more chocolate given today's task. So with the help of SVNTY6 too, the boys got stuck into the task of rating the Top 5 mini chocs from Heroe's, Quality Street and Celebrations. (Stu forgot the Roses, melt!)...

This weeks guest is none other than Nick Halkes. A chap who’s career has grown alongside the the UK dance music scene. Nick was one of the founders of independent record label XL Recordings where he signed and worked with acts such as House of Pain, SL2 and Liquid before taking up a position as a director at EMI and launching the Positiva label. The Positiva label enjoyed significant success under...

About twelve months ago the boys were lucky to be invited onto the Dream Factory podcast. Where the basic premise is to pitch movie ideas to each other off the back of hearing the title. Lots of fun was had an it was only a matter of time until Joel and Josh from the Dream Factory came on to HCL. Last week we managed to record three episodes, and get really quite drunk with Joel and Josh. This epi...

If you live in Essex and haven't had one of Wilma's cupcakes yet, you're messing your life up. Gemma is Chris' niece, and he's bloody proud of what her and boyfriend Will have managed to do in such a short period of time with their bakery. He thought it high time to get them on to have a chat, regardless of the fact Gemma has the key to all the skeletons in her uncle's closet! If you are thinking...

How has nobody picked Top 5 podcasts yet? Well that ends TODAY! Josh Astrop knows a thing or two about podcasts being both a serial podcast listener (just like Chris) and creator himself! Josh got in touch with the boys to do a podcast crossover and the guys were keen to have a chat to Josh, here about his own show and of course get stuck into this epic top 5 choice. You'll here about why Josh isn...

When you think of PTSD you often think it applies to the men and women of the armed forces. Today's guest Gary will show you something quite different. It's a really special episode this week, not just because Chris and Stu barely say anything, but because the guys get to chat to man who has been on the front line of support and tragedy that many of us rarely see, and that which goes unnoticed and...

Ey' up its Bea Dux. The alt-model, photographer, trained body piercer, campaigner, media guru and all round hustler swang past the Whiff-Inn for bloody good chin wag. Bea is a good friend of the podcast and the boys have been planning on getting her down to do a Top 5 for a while now, but when Chris saw her new line of teeshirts/totebags promoting safety and support for sex workers he felt it was...

Danny is one of those talented people who just gets stuck in and says bollocks to what other people say. He's creative, hardworking and not one bit up himself, despite having co-created and fronted one of the country's best streetwear brands, Love Sick London. Mates with a whole host of other guests on the show it was only a matter of time until we got Danny on, to talk shit, to hear about the sto...

It's nearly Halloween and to celebrate the boys thought it's about time to do Top 5 Horror movies (as Chris has been threatening to do this for the last 18months). Obviously Stu knows nothing about Horror so has had to draft in his wonderful wife Carol to fill in the gaps. Chris and Carol are Horror fanatics and it was really hard for either of them to narrow this list down to just 5, but through...

Yes Charles from Love Beer is back and after a stonking good summer he is ready to kick back and have some fun. So what better place than the Whiff-Inn with his two pals Stu & Chris. Oh and he's brought a tonne of beers that as per usual are delicious. Charles has even been so kind as to give our listeners discount codes for orders, so for goodness sake get involved if you love beer! The boys...

With Chris off doing something suspicious it was left to Whiffen to hold the fort and record on his own like a big boy. So he invited his good friend Darren over to mostly chat about a book he has written for his son Jackson, and some of the huge challenges Darren and his family have had to face over the last few years. Darren has also mixed this in to a top 5 about facts about psychological disor...

Bit of a special one this week as the handsome devil and internationally acclaimed model Ricki Hall swings past the Whiff Inn to talk through a vital top 5 close to all our hearts, Pick N Mix, which during Ricki's excitement also includes other cinema goodies! Ricki is a mate of Pips and as such the jokes and atmosphere settle in very quickly, albeit we waste no time getting into some very deep wa...

Finally we managed to get Luke Rogers round the Whiff Inn for a Top 5. Luke started Bang Boom Creative, a production company specialising in film and photography and working with amazing charities such as Children in Need and the Katie Piper Foundation. Bang Boom also have their hand in music videos and Luke's stories of meeting his hip hop heroes such as Public Enemy are all covered in this episo...
