This Sunday was a busy day!  First we had John Rusk, former Grace Church Pastor and now missionary to South Africa, come visit and share a word. Then Bradley Hebden, our Youth Ministries Director, discussed passages that we are all familiar with but shares a perspective that is well worth a listen.

In this episode Pastor Jay continues his series on Renew by discussing the purpose and meaning of "rest" from a biblical point of view.

In part 2 of our sermon series Pastor Jay spends some time discussing what the sabbath day means biblically and shares with us God's heart on how He seeks to rebuild, restore, and renew us through it.

Pastor Jay is kicking off a new sermon series for 2019 called "Rebuild, Restore, Renew." In part 1, "Rhythms," he reminds us that in this new year, there are things that God WANTS to rebuild, restore, or renew in our lives...and that we must always remember not only what God has done, but what He can and will do.

In this episode Pastor Jay walks us through the Christmas Story as written in the bible and outlines how the complexity of the story, involves a simple couple and even more so, a simple message.

This Sunday, we continued our series in the book of Ruth with Part 3 where Pastor Jay recounts Boaz's deeds as he becomes the kinsman-redeemer for Ruth.  We then continue to story into chapter 3 where Pastor Jay begins to connect Ruth to our kinsman-redeemer, Jesus Christ.

As we take a look in Ruth chapter 2 we learn how Naomi recognizes God's favor, but the story is just beginning as Boaz becomes the kinsman redeemer.

For the Christmas Season, we would like to introduce a new series in the book of Ruth.  In this episode, Pastor Jay starts in chapter one and sets the framework not only for the whole book, but for this Christmas Season.

When discerning God's will for your life in quiet time and reflection, there are many questions that come up.  Pastor Jay takes a moment during this Sunday to help us focus on a few specific questions that we should be asking.

Discovering God's Will for Your Life often requires stepping outside your comfort zone, it sometimes requires stepping outside your doorstep.  This Sunday, Pastor Jay is joined by other members of recent mission trips and they provide an amazing accounting of what God is doing on multiple continents at the same time.  Take a moment to listen in on how God definitely has plans for each of us.

This Sunday we were honored to have Pastor Melanie Wilke as our guest speaker.  As the Grace Church Outreach Director, and the Pastor of Weller Community Church, she has a word that she brought just for us.

"If you want God's will, you have to be open to God's will."  In part 3 of Discovering God's Will for Your Life, Pastor Jay explores what it means to spend time with the Lord and provides a simple option to incorporate more of what He wants into your daily life.

How often do people ask you for advise?  How often do you ask others for advise?  Have you ever received bad advise, but didn't realize it at the time? In part 2 of our series "Discovering God's Will for Your Life" Pastor Jay brings to light a thought that we all think of when we consider sharing difficult situations with others...how do I give wise/receive wise counsel?

In this all new series, we are seeking to Discover God's Will for our Lives.  To accomplish this we have to take the first step: be still.

Continuing our look at Samson, we finally come to the end where he finally realizes through humility God's amazing grace. Pastor Jay shows us how this is evident not only for Samson, but for us as well.

Continuing our look into Samson in Judges Chapter 15, we learn that Samson often isn't all that different from us. Not only does he have an difficulties with revenge, but also with pride. Pastor Jay helps us to see this perspective that God has for us and helps us to 1) Remember what we are; 2) Remember why we are here; and 3) Remember who we were created to worship and serve.

The bible often talks about revenge. This week, Pastor Jay takes a look at how revenge played into the story of Samson in chapter 15; and more importantly he discusses how it didn't serve Samson well and will not ever be something useful to us.
