Good Friday 03.04.2026

Because sin separates us from the holy God and has death as its payment, we are all in dire need of mercy and forgiveness, so we can draw near to God. Jesus went to the cross and took our payment for sin, giving those who trust and hope in him full access into God's presence!

ACTS (PART 2): WEEK 13 29.03.2026

In Acts 9, two miracles give a glimpse as to what God can do and who God is. Every restored life points to one thing: Jesus Christ is risen and still at work in a sinful and sorrowful world.

ACTS (PART 2): WEEK 12 22.03.2026

In Acts 9:23–31, the Jerusalem church didn't want to accept Saul’s conversion because they were unsure if his conversion was real. Barnabas steps in and welcomes him - showing us that we too are called to forgive, welcome, and love one another the Jesus has first loved us. Barnabas’ example shows us that grace received becomes mercy given.

ACTS (PART 2): WEEK 11 15.03.2026

Jesus had taught his disciples to love their enemies and to do good to those who hate them. Jesus shows up himself, in blinding glorious light, to show love to his enemy Saul. Pouring out mercy, instead of wrath and opening his eyes to see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God!

ACTS (PART 2): WEEK 10 08.03.2026

In the midst of persecution and opposition, the story of Acts 8:26-40 highlights how the message of the gospel both sends and saves for the glory of Jesus!

ACTS (PART 2): WEEK 9 01.03.2026

Acts 8:9–25 is a passage filled with dramatic moments – magic, questions about the Holy Spirit, and an unreached region turning to Christ. Yet beneath it all lies a clear message: saving faith is committed to celebrating Jesus, while superficial faith is concerned with celebrating self.

ACTS (PART 2): WEEK 8 22.02.2026

In Acts 8:1–8, persecution scatters the church, but what looks like defeat becomes the means of gospel expansion. The gospel turns obstacles into opportunities, using suffering to spread joy and salvation to new places.

ACTS (PART 2): WEEK 7 15.02.2026

In Acts 6:8–7:60, Stephen is mistreated and martyred, yet he responds by keeping his eyes on Jesus, surrendering his life, and blessing the people that harmed him. When we are hurt or persecuted, the gospel calls us to look to Jesus, surrender our desire for revenge, and extend blessing to those that burden us. Because of Jesus, enduring mistreatment with grace is not weakness – it’s a supernatura...

ACTS (PART 2): WEEK 6 08.02.2026

In this section of scripture, we see the very first conflict among the people of the early church. A conflict that could have caused division among those that Jesus died to bring unity to. The remedy, serve one another (deacon one another) as Christ has served them! As Christians we are to follow in the footsteps of the ultimate deacon, the suffering servant, who came not to be served but to serve...

ACTS (PART 2): WEEK 5 01.02.2026

In Acts 5:12–42, the apostles keep telling people about Jesus, even when they are arrested and beaten. In the midst of this, God keeps the message moving forward, and no one is able to stop the mission of God through His people. Here’s what we learn from this: the advancement of the gospel is the evidence of the validity of the gospel!

ACTS (PART 2): WEEK 4 25.01.2026

This passage examines the story of Ananias and Sapphira, showing that the danger was not in their generosity but their hypocrisy – appearing faithful while hiding their sin before God. It reminds us that grace frees us from condemnation, not consequences, and that the gospel calls us to honest repentance, reverent awe, and a faith that is real, not a performance.

ACTS (PART 2): WEEK 3 18.01.2026

Why would someone give in the local church? Money is a sensitive topic for all of us and frankly it’s a strange concept to give money away when the world tells us to keep it all for ourselves. But here's why we give: our giving praises, points to, and provides a picture to others of our God – our Lord Jesus Christ!

ACTS (PART 2): WEEK 2 11.01.2026

God is sovereign over everything and everyone. This truth is meant to free us from the fear of what is happening in the world around us and to help us speak the word of God boldly to those who do not yet know Jesus! God in his sovereignty brought about the death of his son Jesus, so that his plan of salvation would come to pass. Nothing can stand in the way of our God!

ACTS (PART 2): WEEK 1 04.01.2026

Acts 4 introduces us to a new era in the early church – an era marked by persecution, suffering, and opposition. However, at the moment that we would expect their momentum to slow, we discover the opposite. The gospel advances, God’s people are emboldened, and more people come to know Jesus than ever before. Here’s the lesson: only the gospel can turn a trial into a pulpit!

Biblical Soul Care Sunday 28.12.2025

Biblical Soul Care, a ministry of Gospel Life Church, provides a compassionate environment to help individuals navigate their sin and suffering biblically by applying the Gospel of Jesus Christ to their lives by faith. We believe that the Bible’s model for discipleship is in relationship and through the local church, and that requires us as believers to be willing to walk in the light and be known...

ADVENT: The Son Rises 24.12.2025
ADVENT: Breaking in the Dark 21.12.2025

The good news of Christmas is not found in our holiday parties, Christmas movies, or eggnog. Instead, the good news of Christmas is found in the celebration that Christ came to heal us and Malachi 2:17-3:4 prepares the hearts of God’s people for the Son of God that will rise with healing in His wings!

ADVENT: Drifting in the Dark 14.12.2025

The people and the priests in Malachi's day had forgotten the might, majesty, and mercy of the Lord of Hosts. They were offering God their left-overs and their half-hearted worship. They had lost their fear of the Lord. The same thing happens in our lives today. Thank God for Jesus, who was sent to suffer and die for our sins of dishonoring God and to restore the reverence, honor and awe that God...

ADVENT: Doubting in the Dark 07.12.2025

When we think about the story of Christmas we think about mangers and shepherds and wise men, not sunrises, but that’s exactly what the close of the Old Testament wants us to think about. In the midst of the darkness of sin, Christmas declares that the Son has come to bring light and healing to us, and the opening of Malachi declares that when our doubting is loud, God’s love is louder.

ACTS (PART 1): Week 7 30.11.2025

A miracle happens in Acts 3, but it isn’t the main event. The miracle points to the gospel, celebrates lives changed by the gospel, and opens the door for people to repent and believe. In this, Acts 3 shows a gospel demonstration followed by a gospel explanation that leads others to a gospel invitation, and through Peter and John we learn that faith in Jesus shines bright for Jesus!

ACTS (PART 1): Week 6 23.11.2025

Acts 3:1–10 shows that Jesus, after his death, resurrection, and ascension, continues to bring outsiders into the presence of God through the power of His name.

ACTS (PART 1): Week 5 16.11.2025

There are a lot of things we can be devoted to in this life, a thousand things we can give our time, energy and commitments to. In Acts 2 we see the very first Christians in history devoting themselves to 3 main things. They were continually: Devoted to Gods Word. Devoted to Gods people. Devoted to worshipping God. This created a community that put the love of Jesus on display for one another and...

ACTS (PART 1): Week 4 09.11.2025

Acts 2:14-41 gives us the first gospel message proclaimed by someone other than Jesus in the New Testament. It sets a pattern for what the gospel is, what it requires, and what it accomplishes in the lives of those who hear it. In short, the gospel is the message of redemption for our responsibility for sin, calling us to a response of remorse and repentance that leads to revival through the resur...

ACTS (PART 1): Week 3 26.10.2025

Pentecost is often remembered for the way that God’s people spoke in tongues but Pentecost isn’t about speaking in tongues. Instead, Acts 2:1‑13 shows us what happens when God gives His people His Spirit: His power fills them, His presence rests on them, and His people are gathered to proclaim His gospel for the glory of Jesus!

ACTS (PART 1): Week 2 19.10.2025

Decision-making can feel daunting. God’s people once rolled the dice to know His will, but now His Spirit is available to guide the Christian’s every step. Because of Jesus, we are led, empowered, and sent—trusting God, following His Spirit, and joining Jesus in His mission.
