God is the Issue Podcast

Whoopi Goldberg consistently reveals her broken view of God.  She did it again this week on The View.  Unfortunately, many in her audience clapped – affirming her belief.  This is the world we live in.  That’s why Jesus told his disciples to be as shrewd as snakes but as innocent as doves. In order to stay innocent, you also have to be shrewd, so that you don’t get sucked in by emotion-based argum...

We ALL make mistakes as parents.  Kathy and I made our share!  She is joining me today as we talk about one of the big mistakes we made early on, how we realized it and what we did to correct it.  We are so thankful we discovered it before it was too late.   Unfortunately, many parents in America made the same mistake but didn’t correct it.  As a result, we see emotionally broken adults who behave...

I learned a lot as I listened to the election results last night.  Whether you are encouraged or depressed about the results there is one thing we all should be able to agree on.  Donald Trump cannot FIX America. He may be able to fix the border and fix the economy.  I sincerely hope he can.  But FIX America? That, my friends, is ABOVE his pay grade.  Brightmedia.org twitter.com/GodIsTheIssue GOD,...

Today I’m talking about something most Christians assume Jesus said, but He did not.  If you’re like me, you will be surprised and relieved.  If you struggle to share your faith, this one is for you! I heard Frank’s story while attending a men’s group in South Carolina.  So many things have gone wrong in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene in Asheville, NC.  Frank’s story will give you hope.  It inspired and motivated me.  I knew I wanted you to hear it as well.  Frank drove out that afternoon to our little trailer we use on our speaking tours, and we recorded this podcast together.    God reall...

“No human is illegal.”  Unless you’re a hermit, you’ve probably heard that phrase, but is it true?  Even the Pope has weighed in on the issue.  I respond to his statement in this podcast. When people say, “No human is illegal.”  My response is, “Maybe some humans should be.” In this episode I’ll tell you why.  It is an important issue we should all think about, pray about and do something about. ...

Has anyone ever tried to JAM you—to BACK you into a rhetorical corner?  What did you do?  Have you ever stopped to think about what JESUS did when the RELIGIOUS LEADERS and POLITICIANS of his day tried to trap him?  He responded shrewdly so that his viewpoint, his message, was never silenced.   Jesus was a master at flipping the tables when someone tried to trap him or jam Him.  He had two basic m...

If a person claims to be both a CHRISTIAN and PRO-CHOICE, what does that IMPLY about their view of God’s CHARACTER?”  Have you ever thought about that question?  The answer is FAITH SHATTERING and “pro-choice Christians,” although well-intentioned, need to use great CAUTION about imputing their FEELINGS onto God.  More importantly they need to consider the drastic IMPLICATIONS of their opinion on...

If you care about the future of America, of your children and grandchildren, this is the conversation you must engage in daily. Brightmedia.org twitter.com/GodIsTheIssue GOD, Who Are You Anyway? by Bill Bright, with Brad Bright brightmedia.org/resources #faith #worldview

The French  DRAG QUEENS  portraying Jesus and the  Last Supper  presents Christians with a GREAT opportunity!   Thomas Jolly, the producer of the Olympic Opening Ceremony knew EXACTLY what he was doing.  He INTENDED to create controversy.  He invited a backlash.  He wanted us to REACT, and he got precisely what they wanted.   Twitter/X feeds exploded with outrage.  I understand the outrage, but by...

Do laws requiring the Ten Commandments be posted in classrooms make you uncomfortable? Do you know how the Christian faith formed the basis for how the American Republic was created? Find out more about the men who founded America, who they were, and why  “Was America Founded as a Christian Nation” is the wrong question to ask. #faith #worldview Brightmedia.org twitter.com/GodIsTheIssue GOD, Who A...

The Christian life is like a glass of chocolate milk!  The fact that so few Christians know why, is the reason multitudes are NOT accepting Christ.  Non-Christians don’t see something in us that COMPELS them to want what we have.  Think about it: Do non-believers want what YOU have? Do YOU even want what you have? When you wake up in the middle of the night, gripped by fear, is that what non-belie...

What in the world is a Christian Nationalist?  Is it a real thing?  If so, is it really a THREAT to democracy as so many suggest?  How do you even know if you ARE a Christian Nationalist?  In this episode we will explore these questions together and I will give you some TOOLS to help you respond the next time someone brings up Christian Nationalism or even accuses you of being a Christian National...

Gay Pride Month is upon us.  Here’s a question you’ve probably never been asked: What did the Apostle Paul and gay activists know that most of us don’t? What can Christians learn from Gay Pride?  Join me for this fascinating discussion. #faith #worldview Brightmedia.org twitter.com/GodIsTheIssue GOD, Who Are You Anyway?  by Bill Bright, with Brad Bright brightmedia.org/resources Time Stamps:   02:...

Many of you know I have terminal cancer.  A few months ago, Kathy and I decided to stop the cancer treatments—at least for now.  Why?  Because I know God has called me to give all I have to help God’s people wake up to the choice they have before them. By going off the treatments I feel great and have energy again, but the price is a much shorter life.  The reality is, I probably won’t be here to...

Last week, the NFL issued a chilling statement about Kansas City Chiefs’ star kicker, Harrison Butker’s speech; a statement that revealed more about the NFL than Harrison Butker.  However, the Media missed something, and I’ll bet you did too.  That’s what I’m talking about today.  What did the NFL really say about Harrison Butker, homemakers, fathers and God?  How can followers of Jesus respond?  ...

Who are the anti-Israel, anti-US protestors on our college campuses?  More importantly, who is behind the curtain pulling the strings?  How should followers of Jesus respond?   Believe it or not, in the ‘80’s I used to organize “GRASSROOTS” protests around the country from my office in Washington, D.C.  I know how it’s done.    In light of that, I’m going to talk about what is going on at Columbia...

Most people HATE or REJECT God because He doesn’t act the way THEY think He should. I mean, what good is an all-powerful god if He doesn’t prevent famine, floods, and child abuse? What good is a god that doesn’t PROTECT you and make you HAPPY? Do they have a point?  If you know someone who HATES God, is DISAPPOINTED in God or simply wants nothing to do with God, I’m willing to bet it’s because the...

The Pro-Life movement has won some major battles, but it is losing the war.  Why?  I think we find clues in recent statements by Bill Maher and Richard Dawkins.  Join me as we unpack the stunningly honest comment Bill Maher made about abortion and the unexpected admission Richard Dawkins made that he “identifies as a cultural Christian.”  These two atheists inadvertently point us to the Pro-life m...
