The culture of "cancel" is widespread in our society.  Personally, I believe it to be a sad day when I, or my fellow citizens, receive persecution and grief from other people, simply because they have disagreements with the way we choose to believe or act.

There is perhaps nothing more sacred in our republic, than exercising the right to vote.  It must be safeguarded against those, whose desire is diminishing that sacred privilege, even when it appears they are doing all they can to make it more open.

Are we not all subject to the same rules and regulations regarding our personal behavior?  Is that not something we all have in common?  I believe it is.  However, the sad reality is that, in practice, it doesn't always measure up.

Doing the right thing sometimes requires that we do something that we may, instinctively, not choose to do.  However, realizing that there are consequences for every choice we make in life, our motivation to be more rational in our decision-making process, especially when there is so much at stake, should be paramount!

We either have freedom of speech, religion, press, assembly, and the right to petition the government, or we don't.  Even if the Congress does not legislate to restrict these most basic of rights; what is it that the rest of us do, that may be considered, restricting these fundamental rights?

No matter where we're at on the economic scale, we all make numerous decisions on a regular basis, affecting our personal economy.  When we decide to commit ourselves to making good financial decisions, we increase, not only our short-term prospects, but our overall economic outlook going forward.

The hallmark of any great civilization seems to center around its emphasis to be educated, and then to make good decisions, based off of that aim.  Unfortunately, in today's society, the pure and noble vocation to educate, has been co-opted by those with ulterior motives, that sadly, often have nothing to do with education.

The average person is not the slightest bit amused by the attitudes of the elite.  The elite have always, and will forever, accept the notion that they are better than everyone else; that indeed, we cannot get along without them.  That is hilarious and delusional!

If segregation was wrong during the era of the fight for civil rights, because whites did not want to integrate with blacks; then shouldn't it be wrong today when various groups exclude people who don't look like, act like, or think like they do?  I think so.
