Fornication on SermonAudio

We are to FLEE youthful lusts and FOLLOW righteousness, faith, charity and peace. There is positive AND negative, and what we have referred to as "The Doctrine of Replacement" (which has nothing to do with Israel or the doctrine of the church, btw.). Also Reference: 1 Corinthians 6:18, 1 Corinthians 10:13, Romans 10:17, Hebrews 11:1, Mark 12:30-31, 1 Corinthians 143:4-8a, MUSIC: "In My Life (Be Gl...

Two very important things; 1. Church court before civil court -- verses 1-8 2. From sinner to saint -- verses 9-11

The sermon centers on the profound truth that while all things may be lawful, not all are beneficial, especially when they compromise the sanctity of the body as the temple of the Holy Spirit. Drawing from 1 Corinthians 6:12–20, it confronts the dangerous error of equating moral freedom with license, particularly in the realm of sexual immorality, emphasizing that the body is not meant for fornica...

The sermon centers on the urgent call for the church to purify itself from moral corruption, using 1 Corinthians 5 as a foundation to emphasize that tolerating sin—especially sexual immorality, greed, and idolatry—undermines the integrity of the body of Christ. Drawing on the metaphor of leaven, the preacher argues that even a small amount of unchecked sin spreads throughout the church, corrupting...

An examination of the seventh commandment prohibiting adultery and the related commandments regarding sexual purity given in the Mosaic Law that almost completely overlap with requirements that are restated in the New Testament under the Dispensation of Grace.

The sermon on 1 Corinthians 6:9-11, titled "Who Inherits the Kingdom of God?," warns that the unrighteous will not inherit God's kingdom and urges the Corinthian church not to be deceived by the surrounding culture. Paul lists ten characteristic sins—such as sexual immorality (fornicators, adulterers, homosexuals, sodomites), idolatry, theft, greed, drunkenness, reviling, and extortion—that define...

The sermon confronts the grave sin of incest within the Corinthian church, emphasizing that such moral failure—so abhorrent even to pagan Gentiles—demands immediate and decisive church discipline. Centered on 1 Corinthians 5:1–5, it underscores the church's responsibility to mourn rather than boast, to exercise spiritual authority in the name of Christ, and to remove the unrepentant from fellowshi...

This lesson teaches us that the individual & the church have a responsibility to put wicked persons away. The individual should get away from them & the church should vote them out.

Despite the many ways certain professing Christians try to soften the content of this passage, the Holy Spirit through the apostle Paul has put this in the plainest possible terms. The gospel is universally needed because sin is a universal problem. And he starts, as he does in other passages, by listing out the worst possible sins first--sexual sins, and even the worst kinds of sexual sins--then...

The sin of incest/fornication manifested a greater sin within the church. The sin of tolerance & no leadership. The danger of a little leaven, leavens the whole lump. leaven causes something to rot from the inside out.

This sermon centers on the moral and theological implications of Genesis 34, using the story of Dinah's violation by Shechem to confront the seriousness of fornication as a violation of God's design for sexual purity and marital sanctity. Drawing from 1 Corinthians 5 and Deuteronomy 7, the preacher emphasizes that while fornication is a grave sin with divine consequences, the sons' violent revenge...

The sermon centers on the transformative reality of Christian identity, emphasizing that believers are under new management—redeemed by Christ and called to live in holiness. It unpacks Paul's teaching in 1 Corinthians 6, where he confronts the Corinthians' misuse of Christian liberty, warning that not all lawful actions are beneficial or spiritually profitable, and that freedom must never lead to...

📖 John 8:41–47 • Jesus doesn't tell the Pharisees they're acting like the devil. He tells them the devil is their father. That's not behavioral language. That's paternity language — and it changes everything. Marcus grew up knowing only his father's name. He built his whole identity on it. Then one day he got a DNA test — and the man he thought was his father wasn't. But someone else had been loo...
