Daily Word of Hope

It was just another day at the gate called Beautiful, and a crippled man was carried there to beg for alms. He was over forty years old and had never walked. But on that day, everything changed because the power of GOD showed up. No matter how long you have waited, it can all change in a moment. Listen to the message today for a word of hope!

By grace, you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast. God's love is so much simpler than most of us think, but years of traditions can be layered on until the truth becomes hidden. Listen to the message today for a word of hope!

When Solomon, the son of King David, passed away, his son Rehoboam became the king of Israel. Soon afterward, a servant of Solomon named Jeroboam led a rebellion that divided the kingdom of Israel into two parts. What do you do when your promotion becomes a demotion? When things don't seem to be going your way, it may be just what is supposed to happen. Listen to the message today for a word of ho...

"Who is the greatest" has always been an important topic to the disciples of Jesus Christ. Even on their last night together, in the upper room at the last supper. Jesus was the One who rose to wash everyone's feet while the apostles sat in embarrassed silence. There is a key to greatness in God's Kingdom, but it is often different than we think. Listen to the message today for a word of hope!

Sometimes our destiny lies down a difficult path, and while on the way there, we are given a choice to turn back. So many turned back from following Jesus. Elisha was given a chance to stay behind several times before he received his double portion anointing. But if you stay the course, the reward will be worth it. If you face such challenges, Listen to the message today for a word of hope! This i...

The spirit of heaviness can settle on anyone given the right circumstances, and none of us are immune to it, but the Lord has given us a way to make it flee. If you or your loved ones have ever had to deal with depression, Listen to the message today for a word of hope!

Sometimes our past builds upon us and forms a heavy burden. We begin to feel that the Lord is upset with us, but He knows us better than we do. If you feel like it is a bit late for you to change and your past mistakes are weighing on your mind, Listen to the message today for a word of hope!

Eagles can soar to 20,000 feet, far above the reach of the crows that mob and harass them. When the eagle has had enough, it does not argue or fight back - it simply spreads those giant wings and climbs to where the crows cannot follow. We all know some crows. People who pick apart what you are doing, undercut your peace, or just make noise in your direction. The good news is that the peace of God...

The Lord sent Saul, the king of Israel, on a quest, but he failed because of his fear of man. Saul conveniently "overlooked" the command of the Lord and let his men keep the best cattle and sheep as plunder. He also spared the enemy king. If you ever have to choose between obeying God or man, always choose God. For wisdom to make the best choices, Listen to the message today for a word of hope!

When I was young, the Lord spoke to my heart and told me that I would be in the ministry one day and for me to prepare myself for it. I loved studying the word of God anyway, so I decided to go through seminary. I figured that if God wanted me in ministry, He would open a door for me when I was ready. His preparation involved a lot more than I thought. If you have been waiting on God's plans for y...

No matter how dark things may look, your life can be transformed in an instant. God has a plan and a purpose for you. Listen to the message today for a word of hope! This is taken from my book, "Forty Days of Hope."

A mighty prophet of God a few days before, Jonah now sat in the blazing heat and wished that he was dead. He actually prayed to die. The Lord provided everything Jonah needed to change his attitude. He will also provide everything we require to maintain a proper attitude. Sometimes that involves withholding something we think that we need. Or something else comes along we don't think we need. List...

The Ark of the Covenant was about the size of a small seaman's chest, built from acacia wood and overlaid with pure gold. We can learn something from this. If you have ever felt that you are not quite good enough, Listen to the message today for a word of hope!

There was a season in my life when I really caught fire for the Lord. It was a personal revival. I fasted, prayed, and listened to the Bible twenty-four-seven for weeks. Then I began to pray for the Lord to remove anything in my life that was holding me back from being closer to Him. Everything was rosy for about two weeks. Then I was called to the office at work and laid off! If God has closed do...

David was anointed king as a teenager, but he didn't wear the crown until he was thirty. In between, there were caves, fugitive years, a burned city, and his friends talked about stoning him. Then at his lowest point, everything changed in a single week. I lived a similar story and it is amazing what the LORD can do in seventy-two hours. Listen to the message today for a word of hope!

When they completed the temple of Solomon, God lit a fire on the altar. Then the priests were ordered to keep the fire burning by adding more wood each morning. If you have lost the fire you once had, Listen to the message today for a word of hope!

Two criminals were caught, convicted, and crucified together. Yet, there were differences between them. One of the criminals saw himself as redeemable, while the other felt it was too late for him. The Apostle Paul was a Roman prisoner scheduled to stand trial before Caesar. He was being transported to Rome by cargo ship and escorted by Roman soldiers. Soon after they left the shore, the vessel was caught in a northeaster, a terrible storm. The wind was so strong they could not face it or navigate away from it. If the trials in your life feel like more than you can handle, read today's messa...

Strangers came into the Israelite camp and said they had traveled from a distant land to make a peace covenant with them. The travelers had intentionally dressed in ragged clothing. They carried old supplies like stale bread and cracked wineskins to deceive the Israelites. In reality, they were from a nearby village and had come to trick the Israelites into forming an alliance with them. Today's m...

A widow was drowning in debt and about to lose her two sons to a creditor. She had one small jar of oil and no idea what to do next. Elisha didn't take up a collection or call in a favor. He asked what she had, then told her to go get empty jars — as many as she could find. The oil kept pouring until the jars ran out. God gave her a blank check and let her faith determine how far it went. He has b...

Jesus took our sin away on the cross, and He suffered for it so that we would not have to, but other things that He went through while on Earth were an example for us. Betrayal is something that most of us will experience at some point, and it always hurts when those who were your friend become your enemy. Though even those closest to you may betray you, don't let it make you bitter. Listen to the...
