Cultivation Conversation

The Conversation is BACK and it's mostly about managing your measurements. It can be challenging converting between metric and customary all the time, so Cap'n's recommendation is to tell the metric system to fuck right off. G3 and Monsta share a more balanced perspective on the matter, but we ALL agree that Celsius can suck a fat one! So sit back, relax, grab something to smoke on and get ready f...

The Conversation is BACK and in this episode, we discuss grow room electrical considerations for small to large setups. We want to keep all you guys and gals safe out there! Then, we go on to talk about free drink refills at the plant nutrient buffet, humidifier knob control, and a technique called the "lick n' pinch" that might not be what you think it is.  So sit back, relax, grab something...

The Conversation is BACK and in this episode, we talk about how to keep your boner for growing super hard even when the excitement just isn't quite there anymore. Then, Monsta breaks out his meathooks over the way a certain drying product is being marketed. Once the screaming subsides, the gang discusses dehumidifier water, runoff in organic media, and DLI, along with lots, lots more! So sit back,...

The Conversation is BACK and in this episode, we get the pleasure of speaking with @outkastgenetics , who is a breeder of autoflowers from the great state of Texas. The passion that this man has for the plant really shines through as we discuss his breeding work, his selection process, and his personal backstory. Spoiler alert - he ain't in it for the money, folks. Go find some of his work HERE ....

The Conversation is BACK and in this episode, we recap some of the excitement from the first ever podcast meetup at the freedom fest in Boston. Then, it's all about getting set up to grow as a beginner. We get about a quarter of the way through an outline that Cap'n had foolishly made on the subject before realizing that there's just too much for one episode, so we dwell on the topic of autos vs p...

The Conversation is BACK and in this episode, we talk to a very special guest, @alebrije.genetics , about what it takes to breed autoflowers. There's the technical stuff and knowledge, which our guest is more than willing to share... but there's also the intangibles, like passion, creativity, and, perhaps most importantly, ATTENTION TO DETAIL. Being a philanthropist and using some of your proceeds...

The Conversation is BACK and in this episode, we experience some technical difficulties with a planned guest, as well as our Instagram accounts. But we press ever forward, forging new safe spaces for ourselves in the online cannabis scene. Then, we highlight some of our awesome community members. One of whom is @mack.attack.gardens . After that, we talk about synganics, or as the Cap'n likes to ca...

The Conversation is BACK and in this episode, we talk with Manny from @autopot_usa . He's not here for a "how to set up your Autopots" kind of chat. We go over the butt-chugging basics, then we do a deep dive into some advanced autopot growing methods and theories, and come out as way better growers for it. Magnum Manny even reveals the massive girth of autopot's soon to be released product... the...

The Conversation is BACK and in this episode, we shine a little light on some shady marketing practices in the world of LEDs, where there seems to be a lot of hype and ever-changing "science" these days. Bottom line - when it's time to buy a light, pick a reputable company who will still be around in 5 years time. Buy once, cry once. Then, we discuss reg seeds, and why even a grower who only knows...

The Conversation is BACK and in this episode, we speak with good friend of the show, Joint Custody Seed Co, AKA @trichome.god , about his past projects, his future projects, and his upcoming seed drop. The amount of passion this man has for the plant is amazing and the way he'll tell you what other breeders might consider "restricted information" is why we keep bringing him back on the show. You c...

The Conversation is BACK and in this episode, we delve into the cannabis fueled conspiratorial mindset of the Cap'n, who wishes to share a few tips and tricks on how to build resistance to disease and demonetization in your garden! Have you spent months, perhaps years creating canna-content for social media platforms and dutifully following all their stupid rules only to have your account restrict...

The Conversation is BACK and in this episode, we talk with a special guest, Scott from @Microbelifehydro , about the wonderful world of microbes, and much much more! Despite the name, Microbe Life Hydroponics' products will work in any medium to produce bigger plants with larger yields, improve vigor, and reduce fertilizer needs. They do this using the magic of microbes. Did you know that microbes...

Then, we delve into the difference in quality that exists in different brands of the "same" organic growing products. Finally, we sum it up with some good old fashioned autopot talk. It's a comfy, Friday night vib...

The Conversation is BACK and in this episode, it's true that imitation is the most sincere form of flattery. We are joined (at least for a while) by a rising star in the cannabis scene, @barelee.growin , and she tells us about what it's like starting up a YouTube channel focused on growing. After that, we talk about why non-feminized autoflower seeds are so rare and special, with a spotlight on th...

The Conversation is BACK and in this episode, we experience minimal turbulence during our take off to a video-based format. And to start things off on a contentious yet courteous note, we politely discuss the age old question in the growing scene - does organic weed taste better? Cap'n is up on his soda crate pallets preaching "YES!" while Monsta is firmly on the opposing side. G3 is somewhere in-...

The Conversation is BACK and in this episode, we call out the chemical companies for suppressing homeopathic IPM information. We call out corporate cannabis and Soundcloud rappers for causing the phenomenon known as "Walmart weed". We call out certain nutrient companies whose name both start and end with the letter "A" for coddling inept growers with "the program". And we call out carbonated sprin...

The Conversation is BACK and in this episode, we welcome our new Co-host, @girlgogrow, with some light discussion about dreams, tolerance breaks, and the development of agriculture giving rise to strange religious practices like sacrificing virgins... I mean, that aphid infestation isn't going away without appeasing the gods, right? Then, we get into the meat (hooks) of the episode with a lesson o...

The Conversation is BACK and in this episode, we try to overcome our fear of drying in the summertime. The concept of human fertilizer is explored perhaps a little more thoroughly than it deserved to be, and then we discuss the rare phenomenon of sudden seedling death syndrome, or SSDS. And no, it's not linked to the vaxxx you stupid conspiracy theorists. Fact check false. Also, how many plants sh...

The Conversation is BACK and in this episode, we are all over the map. From crystals to bike lanes and back to correctly setting up the parameters on your AC Infinity exhaust fan, Monsta & the Cap'n try to educate and entertain the growers of the world while taking far too many bong rips.  Don't gas your nana with Monsta's capsaicin IPM spray! So sit back, relax, grab something to smoke o...

The Conversation is BACK and in this episode we feel a little nostalgic for the 90s. Back before the internet and cell phones and social media. Back when weed was weed and social equity had nothing to do with it. Not that it's necessarily a bad thing, it's just... anything in the hands of government usually ends poorly. Then, the Cap'n exercises his point of privilege and breaks down how to make a...

The Conversation is BACK and in this episode we dive into the salty waters of synthetic growing. Monsta gives us a thorough explanation of his  process with a focus on nutrient usage during different growth phases. Come take a peek behind this great and powerful wizard's curtain! You will most definitely learn a thing or three. I know I did.  So sit back, relax, grab something to smoke o...

Plus, an update on the up and coming autoflower breeders in the Cap'n's tent! So sit back, relax, grab something to smoke on and get ready for a Cultivation Conversation. Please follow the show at  @cultivation.conversation and fol...

The Conversation is BACK and in this episode, we use mental health to excuse our extended absence and then go deep down the crop steering rabbit hole... In which we discover a lot of impressive terminology and technical jargon but not much else. Then, our focus shifts to the classic organic vs synthetic debate, along with a discussion about COOKIES and whether or not certain strains can induce a f...

The Conversation is BACK, and in this episode, we get way too stoned and forget what we were talking about while dodging truck tires that come crashing through our windows. Somewhere along the line, we hit on microbe teas, SUPERIOR GENETICS, and there's a Marathon OG autoflower smoke report from the Cap'n.  So sit back, relax, grab something to smoke on and get ready for a Cultivation Convers...

The Conversation is BACK and in this episode, we start off talking about the Cap'n's tester seeds and we end up discussing trimming machines. In between, we hit on everything from gut microbiomes and human health to growing weed in an underground bunker after the nuclear apocalypse. It's one of those meandering conversations, but as usual there's little nuggets of info to be gleaned in even the mo...
