Crossroads - Weekend Messages

Landmarks exist for a reason. They define who owns what in order to eliminate disputes. When we live inside the landmarks, things work well. When we try to live outside of those landmarks, problems occur. Somebody is trying to move the landmarks God has given us for life. What do we do?

At Crossroads we believe that Because Jesus is real we are a family of faith, fully engaged, transforming our community and our world. But how did the modern church arrive at the conclusion that Jesus was in fact real and that he existed, furthermore, how do we know his claims are valid and what bearing does that have in how we live our lives today? As we look at the documentation of the resurrect...

Who is Jesus? This is a question that has been asked and answered, over and over again, for the last 2000 years. And the responses are as infinite as the stars of the sky. But the Bible reveals to us who Jesus is and what He is like. John sees various visions of Jesus throughout the Book of Revelation. But the revelation of Jesus in heaven is powerful. And it will change our lives.

One of the things that are so amazing about the Lord is how unexpected things are. God never quite does things the way that we think they should go. For many this is challenging. But for the person who loves to walk by faith, it is awe-inspiring. As we continue to see a unique view of heaven, we will meet some creatures that we do not expect, whose job is to remind us of the most important things!

Do you ever wonder what heaven is like? We all do. What happens after we die? What will eternity look like? As we continue in our study in the amazing Book of Revelation, the scene shifts from the seven local churches that Jesus wants to minister to heaven. And what we will see is breathtaking.

Happy Mother's day! Regardless of the season of motherhood that you find yourself in, our prayer is that God would strengthen you for the seasons ahead of you. May you be encouraged today as we recount the story of an unlikely woman & her legacy of faith.

Lids can be awesome when used appropriately… Yet sometimes, lids can become a barrier instead of a blessing. In the case of the paralyzed man who was carried to Jesus by his 4 friends, the roof of the house where Jesus was preaching prevented the man and his friends from the healing influence of Jesus. What are the structures in your life that are keeping the gifts of a faith and influence from fu...

How is the health of your soul? Is the deepest part of you flourishing—or is it languishing and gasping for air? Life lately has been filled with exhausting challenges: personal loss, political division, economic turmoil, faith deconstruction, and isolation. And our soul feels it. Yet in the face of uncertainty, the Bible assures us we can thrive inwardly. Jesus promised his followers the abundant...

I love it when things end on a high note. There is just something so beautiful when things end well and with great fanfare. Unfortunately, that is not the case with Jesus’ seven letters to the seven churches in Revelation 2-3. After the great excitement of the church in Philadelphia, these letters end with a scathing challenge to the church in Laodicea. This church is struggling in a big way, alth...

The word “break” has interesting uses. Often we say “I need a break” and other times we say to our kids “Don't play with that or it will break.” Whether we want to convey our need for rest or want to express caution over something fragile, the word break has little to no application when combined with the word faith. Where do we find an example of unbroken faith? How do we develop such faith? What...

Have you ever wondered what your purpose is? Have you asked why you’re here, and whether there is more to life than the day-to-day grind? It’s only natural. But God’s answer – His “big idea” for humankind – may be a lot different than we think it is. And it strikes at the very core of who we believe God is and who He really is. Join us this Sunday to explore The Glory of God.

There is nothing more amazing than to see a church fulfilling the will of God. They have their eyes fixed on Jesus. They are fully aware that they are anointed and appointed to do specific things that Jesus ordains. And then they are getting at the work of ministry with faith, hope and love. The church in Philadelphia, in Revelation 3, is that church. And this is the church that we want to model o...

Our culture has a fascination with zombies. There is a steady stream of movies that come out where humanity has to fight against the living dead. We even see trucks with bumper stickers letting us know that the driver is part of the “Zombie Outbreak Response Team.” At the very least, a zombie is something that is dead but looks alive. Unfortunately, a church can be like this. Sure they meet togeth...
