Coffee Break with Miss Debbie

Thank you for joining me as I travel the next few steps in the journey I have recently been podcasting about. It's not truly perfect but it's truly human. 

To prune or not to prune, that is the question. I dare to say, more often than not, prune away!

We all know that the world is pretty upside down, but still there are days when I am completely caught off  guard and I am left thinking, "Wow, That IS CRAZY!" Listen along and please tell me if I am wrong.

When we are completely spent, we don't need any heady, heavy material to study. We need rest and relief. Here's to 14 minutes  of recovery encouragement.

It's picture week, recital week and celebration week but let's make sure we know who is supposed to be in charge at the end of the day.

It's that time of year when our dancers start getting "antsy" and instead of expressing appropriate gratitude for a year well spent they start looking at the green, green grass on the lawn of the dance school up the street.

Introducing the newest character from bedtime stories with Miss Debbie. As she sat in her tiny thimble of a life, she cried. Why, why didn't the rest of the world pause and clap for her?

As a writer who is a little too young for Baby Boomer perspective, a little too old for Gen X perspective and definitely too old for Millennial perspective, I have some thoughts on the self care generation and the work ethic within. 

I suppose this is my version of "Choose your battles" but I find that these days, everything in dance and at the studio is negotiable. Often, it is much easier to just change.

As we enter 2022 with bright optimism, here are a few tips to make the your world a better place, 

I have settled on the character from the 100 Acre Wood that I will most identify with in the Christmas season. Won't you join me, and choose joy?  

Where is the edge and who told you it was there? Let's not let Eorye decide what we can and cannot do.

With this blustery change of seasons and moods, here's to a simple yet profound time of gatherings with a few insights from Winnie the Pooh and Piglet too. Blessings!
