Charlie's Geekcast

It's back to a normal length episode this week as we pick up from the end of last week's episode for a "Countdown to Extinction," then we go back to watch a skipped episode introducing 2 more Dinobots in "War of the Dinobots."

In this special, extra-length, episode, we are watching the 3-part "The Ultimate Doom!" Megatron plans to bring Cybertron into Earth's orbit in order to collect the energy generated by all of the natural disasters. Meanwhile, he also utilizes Dr. Arkeville's Hypno-Chip to create human slaves, including Spike's dad, Sparkplug!

Today, on The Transformers, the Autobots learn about dinosaurs, and decide it would be a good idea to build their own in "S.O.S. Dinobots." Also, remember when I said Skyfire would not return in Season 1? Well, it turns out he returns in the 2nd episode when Megatron creates a [...]

Return to 1984 for 2 more episodes of the classic Transformers series! In "Divide & Conquer," Optimus Prime is badly damaged, and the Autobots have to go back to Cybertron to retrieve the part he needs before he goes offline. In "Fire in the Sky," the Decepticons unearth a long [...]

Return to 1984 as we watch 2 more episodes of The Transformers! See the invention of the Space Bridge in "Transport to Oblivion," then watch Megatron attempt to harness the power of anti-matter in "Roll for It."

Beginning a new series of commentaries watching some of my favorite shows. In this episode, I begin a series of episodes watching the first season of The Transformers by watching the 3 episode mini-series that started it all!

After several months away (sorry!), Charlie's Geekcast returns with a look at my most favorite Post-Crisis Superman story, "The Brainiac Trilogy." Plus, a quick recap of Brainiac's story up to this point, and what happens in the other Super-books during these 3 months! Special thanks to Mike Carlin for helping [...]

For the last episode of 2018, I take a look the Batman Adventures Holiday Special, plus its animated adaptation, "Holiday Knights."

For the last episode before Christmas, I sit down an watch "A Garfield Christmas" from 1987.

Moving to a little bit brighter Christmas themed show, we move from a murder to a homicidal maniac escaping from an asylum and taking over the television airwaves. What could go possibly wrong?

What better way to get into the holiday spirit than by listening to an old radio show about a Christmas murder? Presenting episode 50 of the Dragnet radio show!

It's Thanksgiving...well, here in the U.S. anyway. This time out I sit down to watch a Thanksgiving classic: Garfield's Thanksgiving!

Ra's Al Ghul. One of Batman's most dangerous enemies, and the subject of this episode. This time out, I compare his introduction in the Animated Series with the comics that were adapted for those episodes.

With the passing of Stan Lee, I wanted to take a few minutes to talk about the man who has become a legend. Excelsior!

Join me once again as we travel back to a time before broadband, when we welcomed such characters as Buffy, Angel, The Griffins, The PJs, the Hugleys, and Ray Romano into our lives for just 1 night each week.

Join me as we head back to the 1990s to look at Primetime television in the era of teen dramas and "the Rachel."

Charlie's Geekcast returns...again! After a month away (as explained in the episode), we get back into the grove by looking at some of the big news that has come up since the show went on hiatus. Plus, not 1, not 2, but 3 emails! Woo-hoo!

For the next commentary counting down to Power Rangers' 25th Anniversary, we return to a dinosaur theme with Power Rangers Dino Charge! When three Rangers are trapped with only limited air, can Chase figure out why his power up isn't working in time to save them?

For the next commentary counting down to 25 years of Power Rangers, an entire alien armada invades Earth, and it is up to the Super Megaforce Rangers to overcome the odds and save our world. The result is a Legendary Battle that is legendary for mostly the wrong reasons. But [...]

For the next commentary counting down to 25 years of Power Rangers, the Megaforce Rangers use the power of pop music, and nature, to thwart a monster using bad heavy metal to force the Earth into submission. This and more in “Harmony and Dizchord” from Power Rangers Megaforce!

In our next commentary counting down to 25 years of Power Rangers, we watch "Trust Me" from Power Rangers Super Samurai! And what better way than to celebrate by not only giving the Rangers a new weapon, but also having 2 different Megazord battles?
