The 100% functionality of a cycle is only attained when all the parts of the cycle work together. Every part has its individual strength, but when they come together, the purpose is served; the same process goes for humans too. 

Strike a balance between the right amount of contentment and at the same time be as ambitious as possible, always aspire for growth. Don't regret what you have today but at the same time aspire for something more...

Children who can't deal with parents being strict in the growing years will end up getting more attached to that parent.
