Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church

The Bible describes our life on the earth as leaves that fade or grass that withers. In the same way that plants change with the season, so do our lives as time marches forward. We start as young tender leaves in the spring of life and quickly find ourselves in the winter season, where strength …

In the Bible Profile series, I come to Isaac & Rebecca. Contained within their lives are two of the greatest doctrinal allegories and examples found in the Bible. In this message, I look at those two comparisons. 04.08.26.Bible. Profile. Isaac.and. Rebecca. Tim. McCool

Limited atonement is a theological term that sometimes we lose sight of. It relates the Bible truth of the work of Christ – that He died for the sins of His people, and none shall be lost. In this message, I look at this truth, but in more of a “picture book” kind of way. …

In this message preached on Easter Sunday, Brother Jonah Lowrance preaches on the subject of the Lord Jesus Christ and His resurrection, and how we will see Him face to face one day. 04.05.26.Face.to. Face. Jonah. Lowrance

In the “One Anothering” series, I come to perhaps the easiest activity we can do for one another – pray for one another. 03.29.26.Pray.for. One. Another. Tim. McCool

In a sermon preached at Vestavia Primitive Baptist Church, Brother Luke looks at some of the functions of the Holy Spirit. Not only does the Holy Spirit play a vital role in the new birth, but it also leads and comforts us, confirms our sonship, and intercedes for us when we pray. 130302_001

A few weeks ago, I started a series on the fundamentals of the faith. The first message was about Adam’s fall into sin. If we don’t know what Adam’s sin did us, it is impossible to understand the next fundamental. The unconditional election of an innumerable host of the human race to be saved eternally, …

In this sermon Brother Luke looks at the miracle of the Widow’s oil. Many of God’s people today are empty vessels, run down and drained by the cares of this life. In the same way the widow’s last jar of oil filled many other jars without running out, so can one faithful servant’s effort impact many that …

Here is part 2 of the message, Where to Work and Live… 03.15.26.Where.to. Work.and. Live.part.2.Tim. McCool

Here is part 1 of the last message in a series preached recently. The Big 4 questions in life are 1. Who to marry? 2. Where to worship? 3. Where to work? and 4. Where to live? In this message, I look at where to work and live. Here is part 1 of that message… …

In the Bible Profile series, I examine the life of Sarah. 03.11.26.Bible. Profile. Sarah. Tim. McCool

It is always important to start at the beginning to lay the proper foundation. This is true in school, in work environments, and basically in logical thinking. You start at the beginning to understand anything. So it is with the fall of Adam in the Garden of Eden. Satan wants us to view this as …

We usually value the things we love, but don’t always love the things we value. Some may not love going to the doctor but value the medicine or healing they receive. Others may not love their job but value the pay that it provides for their family. In this sermon Brother Luke looks at the …

In the Big 4 life questions series, I look at the important question – Where to Worship? With churches on every corner, and any flavor or form of worship that a person could dream up, is it possible to figure out the answer to this question? 03.01.26.Where.to. Worship. Tim. McCool

In our Bible profile series, I look at the father of 3 still existing world religions – Abraham. 02.25.26.Bible. Profile. Abraham. Tim. McCool.mp3

I have been asked recently about the “big 4” questions in life. Those questions are, in general, 1. where to live, 2. where to work, 3. where to worship, and 4. who to marry? If we get one or more of these wrong, it spells disaster for a child of God. In this first message, …

In the final message on the terms of service of a disciple of Christ, Brother Luke looks at how faithfully being a disciple of Christ results in truly finding your life. When the most solid disciples of the Bible faced persecution and trouble, their peace of mind never left, truly showing that when we follow Jesus …

In the 3rd message of the Terms of Service series, Brother Luke looks at what it means to follow in the footsteps of Jesus. 02.08.26.Terms.of. Service. Part.3.Luke. Hagler

In a series I am calling the “Bible Profile” series, I look at the pre-flood patriarch Noah in this message. 02.11.26.Bible. Profile.of. Noah. Tim. McCool

One of the most endearing and important things we can do for one another, is to confess our faults to each other. Whether it is unintentional or something deliberate, an essential component in the experience of loving one another, is to have the Spiritual courage to confess. 02.08.26.Confessing. Our. Faults. Tim. McCool

Here is pt. 2 of the message, One Anothering No-no’s. 02.01.26.One. Anothering. No. Nos.pt.2.Tim. McCool

In the “one anothering” series I have been preaching, I come to some “no-no’s”. There are actions that are strictly forbidden towards one another. If we are to fulfill the law of Christ in the NT – to love one another – these are things we cannot engage in. Here is pt. 1 of this …

Soul winning is a Biblical term. It is often heard in religious circles related to winning someone’s soul eternally for Jesus (for example, accept Jesus, say the sinner’s prayer, be baptized, etc.). In this sermon, Brother Luke uses the account of Zacchaeus to show that the salvation in soul winning is not eternal, but a deliverance …

In Galatians 6, we are told to bear one another’s burdens, and then, that we should bear our own burden. If we ever think there is a contradiction in the scripture, it can only be in our own minds. If we look closely at what Paul is teaching, we see glorious instruction on how we …

In the Terms of Service series, Brother Luke looks at the Lord’s instruction to follow him. When we think of following, we often think in terms of following directions. We follow directions to arrive at an accomplished end or desired outcome, whether it’s cooking, driving, or assembling something. When we reach the end of our …
