BEHIND THE STUNTS

Send us Fan Mail Turning a car over isn't just hope for the best and give it the beans you know. There is a science and an engineering masterclass about getting a car off its four wheels. Cars are designed for safety, stuntmen are the scientists who push the vehicles to their limits. Let me tell you more https://linktr.ee/behindthestunts Support the show If you've enjoyed this episode th...

Send us Fan Mail An odd title but an essential part of any stunt performers repertoire. I have some experience of this as I'm still dealing with an injury sustained in a stair fall 2yrs ago, but this got me thinking about what is expected of a performer and how a performer gets to practice a fall down a flight of stairs whilst going about their everyday duties. Enjoy https://linktr.ee/behindt...

Send us Fan Mail Highlander:  is as good as a film gets in my opinion. Good cast, well directed and a score to die for. But its action scenes rule supreme. PETER DIAMOND is stunt coordinator in the UK and VIC MAGNOTTA is the coordinator in the US. We try to explore a bit more about this movie by talking to another big name that was part of the shoot. 2nd Unit Director ANDY ARMSTRONG who explains h...

Send us Fan Mail Another excellent example of a spy movie boosted by the Bond movies. James Coburn takes the role of Derek Flint and runs with it over these two movies. Stunt Coordinator is BUZZ HENRY who is also Coburn's  leading double on the pictures. The action is based around fights and falls and its huge fun to watch. If you haven't seen either of the films I urge you to do so. htt...

Send us Fan Mail Regarded by many as one of the greatest car chases ever and yet its one of the most dangerous and, in my opinion, ill advised additions to any motion picture. Yes its magnificent on screen, but the chase had moments where the the car being driven by actor Gene Hackman was travelling at high speeds in actual traffic and not stunt drivers as you would expect. BILL HICKMAN was the co...

Greg Barnett or 'Chiefy' as he's known in the business doubles Harrison Ford and we hear from him about his experience on the movie. ht...

Send us Fan Mail Yes, its the sequel to the 1978 original. We believed a man can fly when Christopher Reeve was our hero. Now? Stunt Coordinators ALF JOINT, VIC ARMSTRONG & PAUL WESTON deliver some wonderful moments of action and comedy during the mov...

Send us Fan Mail Its 1981 and the cinema screen is packed with action and adventure, and this time its in the style of the old two reelers. Send us Fan Mail Yes its that time again. Once again the incredibly talented stunt professionals are without recognition at the highest level. The Academy does not recognise them and is pretty clear they never will - but if you look back at all of the movies that have gone before you will find stunt professionals behind all of the winners. I chat with MARK HARRIS the stunt coordinator on THE POWER...
