Bad Movie Buff

Great wee episode where we delve into Donnie Darko which I absolutely still don't understand.

This one is an absolute chaotic rambler of a podcast. Probably the only episode I'd say you could watch without seeing the film, its based on true events and almost turns into a true crime podcast. Jordan is an absolute legend for putting up with me.

This week I am joined by Belfast based comedian Eoin Sloan to chat about Apocalypse now. Some serious tangents in this one and it takes us about 10 mins before we even mention the film but sure its a bitta craic.

This week I'm joined on the pod by Belfast based comedian Bunny Martinez to chat about one of the greatest action movies ever made: Predator. Two Arnie weeks in a row, what more could you ask for? Check Bunny out on his socials below: https://www.instagram.com/hombrelobomartinez/

During one of my favourite times of year: The Blues on the Bay Festival in Warrenpoint, I snagged the bassist of Crow Black Chicken to record a podcast with me. I've been going to see his band for years at the festival and have been a big fan of his Bass Guitar Instagram content. Check Stephen and his band (who have just released their new album Ghost Dance) on the instagram links below: https://w...

Fourth time is a charm. Ryan Archer joins me on this, the season finale of Season 3 to have a rundown of all the films I've watched since we last chatted. Spoiler free of course.

This week on the podcast old Jacky boy joins me to chat about Peter Jackson's The Frighteners

Once again I have ballsed up the audio somehow but I had too much craic recording this episode not to post it. The audio is straight from the video not the microphones but it's suprisingly good quality. On this weeks episode I am joined by Belfast based comedian Daniel Houston to chat about Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Up and coming comedian Matthew Dinsmore joins me on the podcast this week to chat about his favourite film The Raid. Some serious tangents in this one, including me losing the plot and delving in to the history of Mortal Kombat.

This week I am joined by local comedian and podcaster Stephen "Soupy" Campbell to chat about his favourite film, the 1995 Ice Cube written "Friday". For a man that is self admittedly not really into films he really knew his stuff about this movie.

This week my old pal Shane joined me to chat about this life long obsession with the Matrix. Shane is half the reason this podcast exists, he told me what microphones and interface to buy and has helped me with every technical difficulty along the way. He also produced my intro music.

Joined this week by Producer and old pal Ally McKenzie to chat about Happy Gilmore, probably the film I reference most in my life next to Wayne's World. As always, good bit of craic was had and I never know what to write here, does anyone actually read this? Who knows.

Fresh off of touring the UK and Ireland with Vittorio Angelone, John Meagher joined me in my Newry living room to chat Robocop with me and I am now of the opinion that it is a absolute masterpiece. Dunno what way I ballsed up the editing of this one but the start of my intro was cut off and I couldn't figure out how to fix it. Again, podcasts are hard leave me alone.

This week Ciaran Franco had me over to chat his favourite film, Roman Polanski's Rosemarys Baby. Had no idea what I was in for with this one but loved the film and looking forward to rewatching it.

Cracking chat with local writer and movie buff Eimear Morgan about Richard Linklater's Dazed and Confused.

If there's one thing on God's good Earth that the Cloakroom Q boys love, its Akira. We had a good aul natter about that and loads of other anime chat. As always I am massively out of my depth.

This week I'm joined by Omagh comedian Conor Keys to talk about one of his favourite films, Misery, based on the Stephen King novel.

This week I am joined by a good friend of mine Ryan Archer to have a low key argument about our difference of opinions on films. This is us chatting about the films that we have both watched this year so far, some old some new.

On this weeks episode I am joined by comedian and podcaster Sean McAleavey to chat about his favourite film Cars. Sean reckons he's not really a movie guy but he really knew his stuff about this Pixar classic.

In this episode of Bad Movie Buff I am joined by Belfast comedian Ciaran Bartlett to chat about his favourite film Heat(1995). A first time watch for myself that I enjoyed so much that I have since read the sequel book that Ciaran recommends on the podcast. Hope you enjoy!

In this episode I am joined by writer, actor, director and most importantly Newry-man Gino Lynch to chat about his favourite film Network(1976).

This week I am joined by the other half of the Panic Station Comedy club: Darren Matthews. In this episode we talk about one of his all time favourite films Platoon, the Vietnam War film written, directed and loosely based on Oliver Stone's time in Vietnam.

In this very first episode of Bad Movie Buff I am joined by Newry Comedian Lianne McCooey who was very eager to discuss her hatred of Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban. As much as I tried her opinion wasn't to be changed.
