4Colours - Jan

A series of mixtapes that I occasionally add to. Something completely different from my usual 4/4 output. Expect library, dub, rock, bluegrass, beats, jazz, and just mellow vibes. Stick this on your headphones and take the dog out for a nice stroll.

Occasionaly I just feel the need to blast out a 1hr mix. This one hit the other day and so I just smashed it out. Sun came out. Beers flowed. Off the cuff set of jams. This is just something fun, from deep ambient to acid techno. This mix kind of works. I had fun anyway. Check it. It's a mix of two halves. Amazingly I haven't tried to mix all the tracks! No judging. Enjoy.

A recent trip to Sudbury in Suffolk inspired this mix. A lovely day out in a lovely town. The picture taken of the exterior of the Gainsbourgh house showed the different finishes on the buildings façade. So in the case of this mix I take the literal sense of the word texture. The mix, unlike the others in the series has minimal 4/4 and is more comfortable in the relaxed space. Like the other textu...

Show number eight, not number seven as mentioned in the intro. (I never could count) sessionAlpha25 is really finding it's vibe now. I'm really happy with this set list. Loads of absolutely cracking records in the mix. Enjoy this one. If you like it deep and like to be rewarded with a journey mix then do check it. Track list to follow.

I'm so pleased to bring you sessionAlpha25 (part seven) Two plus hours in the mix with some (brand new to me) tracks, plus the usual smattering of classic house. This one is for the deep lovers. The 4am crew, the head down dancefloor soldiers. Kicking in with the looped up vibes of Metfah and Thomas Xu and setting the tone with the awesome...

Continuing the textures series. Something that came out of nothing. I've been sitting on this lovely coastal image for while. Textures 003 starts with some introspective deepness and then we get on the groovy loops. It's a short, but oh so sweet mix. The picture , Suffolk coast in early January inspired the mix. A selection of tunes with thoughtful moments. A lovely walking mix. Another one for yo...

Part two of a series of mixes based on the theme "texture" This Totem in The museum of Archaeology and Anthropology in Cambridge really caught my eye. It inspired this mix. Enjoy.

More trips into the deep on my weekly outing. This one completely mic free. Enjoy the vibes.
