Genesis 2:1-3: "Sabbath Rest" 28.09.2026

God created the world in six days but rested on the seventh. Why? What does this tell us about setting aside a day for worshipping the creator rather than the creation? If God ordained the seventh day for rest, and called the day "holy", what does that ook like for the rythems of His people?

Genesis 1: "Orderly Creation" 22.09.2026

Moses gives the people of God an orderly narrative of creation which reflects the character of God. This involves a form and a filling of the world as recorded in the first three days (form) as well as the second three days (filling). This speaks to God who has designed this world in order for humanity to flourish and by the end of creation has given us the task (cultural mandate) to cultivate the...

Genesis 1:1-2 - "The God of creation" 13.09.2026

Genesis chapter 1 introduces us to God as creator, which estabslishes us as His creation. Theologian Van Til called this the Creator creation distinction. What are the implications for us today? This sermon series explores the Biblical vision for creation and therefore mankind, which answers the question of what it truly means to be human.

Acts 18: Paul in Corinth "Bold for the Gospel" 01.09.2026

Have you ever been fearful of sharing about Jesus with someone you know? We live in a culture that believes in keeping religious convictions outside of everyday life. However; Jesus builds His church through His people's witness and proclamation of the gospel. The story of Paul in Corinth gives us some helpful encouragment as we see how God is soverign over Paul's attempts to live and speak the go...

Acts 17 Pt. 2: Paul in Athens 24.08.2026

Acts 17 tells of Paul traveling to Athens and speaking at Mars Hill. This interaction serves as a model for how Paul interacted with the gentile world in that he affirmed that they were looking for the right things, but could only find the good, true, and beautiful in the person and work of Jesus Christ.

Acts 17 pt. 1: The Tale of Two Cities 10.08.2026

In this sermon, we observe how two cities responded to the good news of Jesus preached by Paul, Silas, and Timothy. In both cities there were people who responded with faith, but in Berea they examined the words of Paul by the Word of God. This earned them the title of "noble" according to Luke. When people respond to God's word with humility and interest, God gives the gift of faith, and begins t...

Acts 16: "Households of Faith" 03.08.2026

Acts 16 contains the story of Paul, Silas, and Timothy planting the church in Philipi. God soverignly guided His missionaries to bring the good news to Lydia, a prison guard, and even set a young girl free from demon possession. God used these people to build up His household of faith into a church which would stand out like stars among the night sky in the Roman colony of Philipi. God still uses...

Acts 15: The Church comes together 27.07.2026

Acts 15 describes the first of the church councils in which clarity is brought concerning the topic of Gentiles and Jews interacting with one another. The confusion comes in the role of circumcision, would it still be required for gentiles who are converting to Christianity? What was the role of the O.T. customs for the N.T. church? The apostles, elders, and church come together and are guided by...

Acts 13: "What do you do with your guilt?" 14.07.2026

Acts 13 tells of the first missionary journey of Paul and Barnabas. Their message was recieved with joy by some and spite by others. This sermon shows how Paul and Barnabas gave the answer of what to do with guilt.

Acts 12: The Kingdom of God vs. the kingdom of Herod 07.07.2026

Humanity has always had the proclivity to pursue and protect our own kingdom rather than live for God's Kingdom. This story illustrates whose kingdom will last and which King protects His people. The Kingdom of God gives life and last forever, man's kingdom will end in death and destruction. Choose wisely.

Acts 10: The Holy Spirit Goes to the Gentiles 30.06.2026

Act 10 contains the story of Peter interacting with a Roman Centurion named Cornelius. This story shows us that the Holy Spirit is available to all those who fear and call on the name of Jesus as their Lord.

Acts 9: How the Holy Spirit Changed Paul's Life 23.06.2026

The Apostle Paul had his life changed on the road to Damascus. The Holy Spirit revealed to him the living Jesus Christ, and at that moment Paul served a new Lord. This is Paul's testimony.

Acts 8: "How does the Holy Spirit grow the Church" 18.06.2026

This chapter of Acts tells of the ministry of Phillip to those surrounding Jerusalem, even those in North Africa. The Spirit is described as guiding the process by which Phillip preaches and proclaimes the risen Christ and teaches through the Bible.

Acts Ch. 7: "The First Martyr" 08.06.2026

Stephen is recorded as the first martyr for the Christian faith in Acts. But Luke's inclusion of this story has much more to do with the temple of God expanding to all the nations as was promised in the Old Testament. The Temple would no longer be the physical brick and morter building but the people of God upheld by the Word of God and the Spirit's indwelling.

Acts 6: The Rise of Deacons 31.05.2026

The church was faced real challenges in their early day as they would throughout her history. Acts 6 shows us how God's Spirit carefully helped navigate a potential rift in the church through providing what we would know as the church office of "deacon". Deacon's were to serve the physical needs of the community as the apostles continued on with the Word ministry to the church.

Acts 4: No Other Name 18.05.2026

Peter and John clearly confront the Sanhedrin's misconception of Jesus and what God has done through Him. The leadership of Israel is now transfered to those who recognize the King as Jesus. This King leaves His Spirit to encourage and streangthen His Church, including you and me.

Acts 3: The Author of Life 11.05.2026

Peter explains the healing of a lame man at the entrance of the Temple to a crowd who is in near disbelief. How can a lame man walk from faith in Jesus as the Christ? Moments like this, and the preaching that accompanied these miracles, was how the gospel spread throughout Jerusalem.

Acts 2: The Holy Spirit 04.05.2026
Acts 1: The Story Continues 27.04.2026

This is a Monday Morning After segement of the sermon that was supposed to be recorded on Sunday. Acts contians the story of the continual ministry of Jesus through the Spirit. Acts 1 serves as the bridge between the gospel account of Luke and Luke's recording of the growth of the Church.

Luke 24: "Peace be with you" 22.04.2026

Jesus finally appears to the disciples at the end of the day of His resurrection. The women who entered the tomb had already found it vacant, and the disciples on the road to Emmaus had already encountered the Lord. They raced back to the other apostles and disciples and had reported what had happened. Now, Luke records that Jesus himself appears in all their midst. He then leads the greatest Bibl...

Luke 24: "The prophets witness, or On the road to Emmaus" 13.04.2026

Luke records the first physical sighting of the resurrrected Jesus as being on the road from Jerusalem to Emmaus. We know from other gospels that Jesus had appeard to Mary as she was leaving the tomb, (gospel of John), but Luke records the interaction between to disciples and Jesus as He explains the mystery of his death and resurrection from the Old Testament. This interpretation of the O.T. is v...

Easter 2026: Luke 24:1-12, "He is risen, He is not here." 06.04.2026

All gospel writers include the bodily death and resurrection of Jesus. Yet, all the gospel writers include certain details and timelines in order to communicate their purpose. Luke, for the first time in His gospel, does not include Jesus in this text but rather His disciples coming to the point of needing faith in order to follow. That is the question Luke poses to us, will we have faith given wh...

Luke 19 pt. 2: Palm Sunday, or The Noble Man returns 31.03.2026

Jesus had previously told a parable of a noble man who went away and came back to his home to find some faithful servants and at least one unfaithful servant. Luke uses Jesus return to Jerusalem as a tangible illustration of this parable. In a sense the  trip from the Mt. of Olives to Jerusalem shows us the noble King returning to find His servants either worshipping Him, or disgruntled. What kind...

Luke 19 pt. 1: The Ten Minas 31.03.2026

This parable is taught right after Jesus encounters a blind man on the road to Jericho as well as interacting with a repentent sinner Zacchaeus. The parable describes faithful servants of Jesus even when he's not around. This parable gives us a picture of how the Kingdom of God grows through our efforts, even beyond our expectations.

Luke 17: The Already and Not Yet 17.03.2026

The Kingdom of God has been inagurated with the arrival, life, death and resurrection of Jesus. But it is not yet complete until he comes again to establish his eternal Kingdom. So how are we to live in the meantime. Jesus gives us some principles to. live by in the between. Luke gives us a glance into this conversation between the disciples and Jesus in which we are told how we should live.
