Face front, True Believers! The flags of the comic book community are at half-mast this week as we mourn the loss of Stan Lee at the age of 95. As the writer, editor, architect, and salesman of the Marvel Universe, Lee oversaw a revolution in the comic book industry, transforming Marvel from a publisher on the verge of folding into the industry juggernaut. During his time, he helped to create Spid...

As much as we love interviewing creators and reviewing books, I think the guys of the Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER! enjoy just talking about our favorite characters. And since Halloween was earlier this week, that got us in the mood to talk about our favorite magicians, monsters and mysterious beings. Expect lots of Doctors (Strange, Fate, Doom) and Witches (Scarlet, Sabrina) and many more as we ra...

For this week, that answer is six or seven. But that should come as no surprise to the loyal listeners of the Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER! See, we were down one co-host, as John was on the DL with a bum leg. You may not realize it, but leg injuries severely diminish a podcaster's ability to talk about comics. Jerry was on the DL for a month with his knee surgery last year, so it's a real thing. Ne...

In honor of the 227th episode of the Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER!, we spotlight the legendary career of actress Marla Gibbs , star of the 1980s TV comedy 227 . Another Friday means another episode of the Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER! - the longest-running lowest-rated show in our market. It really means a lot to the guys to have YOU coming back each week, so thank you! Unfortunately, we start out our show on a somber note, as we learned of the passing of artist Norm Breyfogle shortly before recording. Breyfogle was the premiere Batman artist throughout th...

Welcome back, our friends, to the show that never ends. It's podcast time, and we are eager to start talking comics and movies and conventions! Let's start with the cons, as you will find Cullen at Rose City Comic Con this weekend in Portland, OR. While we are not manning a table this year, Cullen will be found in and around artist alley, looking to get a few more autographs in his 100 Cover Hero...

It's time to say goodbye to summer 2018 (fingers crossed!) at the Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER! Jerry survived a vacation drive to south Texas and back with his family. The kids (and John) are returning to schools. And Cullen is fighting to survive the bad air of Portland and the lack of air conditioning. While on vacation, Jerry made several stops at comic book stores along the way, and recounts t...

Jerry decided to head to Texas in August and left John and Cullen the keys to the recording studio! That means this may well be the final episode of the Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER! If true, we've brought you a doozy! J and C had a great chat about books they've been reading along with some news from comics, TV, and movies. Is one of the X-Men really not a mutant? What will the addition of Batwoma...

Another week, another brand-spankin' new episode of what should be the award-winnin' Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER! Our inbox has been flooded with inquiries as to how we have been spending our summer. Truth be told, it's mostly trying to avoid the heat, which that makes for a really good reason to read comics. Win-win!! Of course, we'll catch up on some TV shows. John's almost done with the most re...

You know what's the best part about San Diego Comic Con? Is it the announcements? Or the trailers? Could it be the signings? What about the Eisners? While those are all worthy answers, the response we are looking for here is that the Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER! can get away with talking about the con for another week.  By now, you've seen the Aquaman and Shazam! trailers. You looked over the list...

They will be hosting multiple panels, looking for good deals on the show floor, and hanging out with so many of our friends. Find us in Podcast Alley at booth A-9 . With a pre-recorded show last week, we didn't get a chance to reveal our Pick 3 for books that came out this week. Never fear,...

This week, we are trying something new with the show. We have put together some audio highlights of our panels at Smallville Con last month.  Of course, the highlight of the weekend had to be John hosting Superman himself, actor Dean Cain . Lots of super moments from that panel to look forward to in this week's podcast. In addition, we have some great moments with the panels from Eddie McClintock...

We are just two weeks away from the start of O Comic Con!  This fourth-year con has become one of our favorites to attend, with great crowds, friendly guests, and corgis!
