The Ladies Who Lunch

I had the pleasure of chatting with my good friend Sushma Saha. We discussed her discovering her gender identity, life in the Ithaca College Theatre Department, and of course the revival of 1776 which she is currently starring in as Judge James Wilson at the American Airlines Theatre.

This week I cackled, chortled, and guffawed with Hannah Solow who most recently starred in the national tour of Daniel Fish's Oklahoma! as Gertie Cummings. We talked about her time as an improv artist, working on this reimagined production of a classic, and unruly audience members. After playing phone tag for years, I finally got to sit down with Carrie Compere and talk about her beautiful intepretation of Sophie in The Color Purple and some other fun things!
