Talking Trek: Star Trek Fleet Command

Tonight we salute mom's and mommy figures everywhere as the US celebrates Mothers Day! Then we discuss what events we've seen, including a few helpful hints for the Armada event, some math on buying packs for the Tendi event and what the Feesha Refit actually does for you! We also look forward to some events coming this month and issue some warnings and strategies for the upcoming Jellyfish auctio...

Today is day 2 of the Anthology arc, a catchup with FOUR total properties, including Disco, TNG, TOS, and Lower Decks. What do we know so far? What questions do you have? DJz probably has the answers, and we discuss those here tonight and get you prepped for the next few days of the May 2022 Arc!  Please share with your team, sub to our channels, and ENJOY the show!  visit us online at www.talking...

Well, patch notes were leaked, and info was known ahead of time. and at first glance, we felt underwhelmed. But there may have been a few subtle beauties hiding out in May, and today we look at a few of them, and begin to discuss the event store, annnnnnnd for those especially difficult questions, and to drag him out of hiding, Community Manager Eco stops by to answer a few questions and say GOOD...

Tonight, the Talking Trek Community meets a new voice! Community Manager Eco joins us on the stage to talk about what drew him to Star Trek, what he's learned so far, and what kind of excitement and hope he brings to our players. We learn some very interesting things and hear him discuss his passions in a way we've never heard from any CM before. Then we recap the Lower Decks arc and discuss some...

I feel like doodoo. But the show must go on. So naturally, this show was more 'squirrel' than anything else. But some interesting things came up regarding mining, lower decks abilities, and an UNCONVENTIONAL use for these officers, as well as some new mechanics Scopely tested this month. Did they pan out? Let's dive in, talk about 45 other things at the same time, and find out the latest item on R...

On our first studio show back here in 10 days, we had a loooooot to talk about. We start off with a fascinating conversation about natural gas vs propane, (not kidding) and quickly make our way into Second Contact, Lower Decks Abilities (warning, math to follow), the mid month patch and what it fixed as compared to what it broke, and finally a little bit of insight into the desealing rod fragments...

The title says it all. Enjoy this after party Gold Content that was too good not to pass up. All the anger, pent up aggression and frustration with turf wars is evaporated in 20 minutes with some comic relief, and possibly some highly effective seduction. Enjoy the bonus content! Tonight's show was divisive and polarizing, and yet again, your friendly furry feline donned the role of evil hissing kitty cat with a perspective that didn't seem to be shared by an overwhelming population. HOWEVER, there is light at the end of this murderous, pvp ridden tunnel, and it's that we came up with a list of improvements to help all find some peace in this newest version of Turf Wars. P...

This show touched on all things related to the last 48 hours including our love or disdain for cartoons! However, other more important issues were also brought up including a f2p's strategy on MAXING out your benefits from the Desealing Rod Fragments, and how the Cerritos support function works, as well as a broader look at utility ships in the game, and how sourcing has improved, or gotten worse....

60 minutes. ALL your questions. And BREAKING NEWS about the Treasury. Listen here for almost everything you need to know about this upcoming arc. Cause, BAM!

LOTS of ups and downs this month, and apparently so widely varied in opinions that shots were fired during the show. What side of the fence do you find yourself on? From rewards, to mechanics, to tech bugs, to content itself, nothing is off limits during this final wrap up episode on March as we close this chapter and look forward to April (hints contained within!) Please share with your team, sub...

Scopley surprised us with a pop up style release of a new roadmap. Honestly shouldn’t be surprised. March is when these usually come. But player reaction is mixed. Why? Could there be more between the lines? Let’s dive in to each of these main points and discuss what COULD be coming and moreover, how players WANT to see these things introduced.  Visit us online at www.talkingtrekstfc.com for more...

Tonight's show didn't disappoint as we finally iron out the details of Rom and how he works, and determine if Soggy was in fact correct with his hypothesis. But, in doing so, the return of a mechanic long lost to the community is discussed, and both sides of the issue are discussed. Is station burning good? bad? or need tweaking? PLUS we examine the month to date with dabo payouts, and other payou...

There's not much to say on this one other than, 'scopely..... fixxxxxx iitttttttt.'  rounding doesn't round anymore. 1 equals 0, and 1.5 equals 17, Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together... MASS HYSTERIA! My head hurts. Take an aspirin before listening.  Love,  DJz Visit our website www.talkingtrekstfc.com

Today the show was allllll sorts of information jammed into one. We answer questions about how this monumental SMS can be completed, and why there's a fundamental problem with it's design (in this case), plus get into ship power, WHY it changed, and what players can expect to see when upgrading their ships. Lastly, we dive into the lockbox and set the record straight on a few key aspects of this b...

Last night we chill on the highway yet again in another Talking in Carz with DJz. While some players prefer this format, (DJz loves the production and goofiness that a studio show brings) it pretty much always DOES deliver some good conversation and content. While the Treasury tax has been repealed, players continue to speculate on it's origins, and Bubba Jo earns his own pitchforks with his propo...

Does that read like a headline? It should. The first part of this show starts relatively typical as we break down the valuable meta and events this month that are gonna require VERY careful planning and even then, players will likely have to choose a direction to pursue this month, as it would be very very expensive to do them all. However, the conversation transitioned in the second segment of th...

The title speaks for itself. Rules of Acquisition Pt2 (and final) is here, and Scopely has not disappointed in their ability to channel their inner Ferengi. Let's be clear, there are several potentially GOOD things this arc. I will reserve judgement until we're able to see more. But from right out the gate, there's a thing or two that is most certainly and clearly BAD. And one of them is that Scop...

Tonight, the wounds of RoA Pt 1 were reopened, salt poured in, and then rebandaged in sandpaper. HOWEVER, players found some shining moments this arc and we found time to discuss those as well. The feesha was obviously the big topic, and the perspectives battled on whether the ship was a f2p savior, or a colossal waste of time. Scopely's consideration for players during international crisis was ap...

Tonight we stepped outside of the studio and broadcast live from the highway as DJz hosted Talking In Carz with DJz. Topics included a review and recap of some of the items that were introduced this month, a lighter than typical event calendar (which was praised by some players) and Gregor stops by for a completely unfettered, unbiased opinion on his first appearance on the show this entire arc. I...

Week 3 started out not bad. Changes to Latinum Rush were problematic in some areas, but we expected them to be a little rough starting out with the balance of the Feesha's mining speeds. The fact that there's a staple event with some tinkering and modernization is good. We also saw modifications to the Ferengi Recruiting event, and a surprise SMS and SLB with some pretty incredible rewards! We saw...

Fillin Friday launched an Armada Damage SLB, and on the surface, it doesn't look bad. Damage for armadas dictates uncommon usage, but days 2 and 3 of this SLB run along side the Quark Strength event for Rares and Epics. Scoring has synergy and I won't complain about that. But, there are still obvious problems, and they AREN'T from the completion ability of this event, but rather, the logistics. Du...

WARNING: this episode contains explicit language, wild antics, inappropriate comments, and most other stuff that's a lot of fun for anyone who is above the age of 18. this episode is NSFW.    On this after show, we begin with Ripper and Bubba shooting the bull and DJz hops in from the car. We talk a little about dabo tokens, comparative payouts, and WHY dabo tokens MAY be getting a bad rap unfairl...

Hey commanders! Tonight was our first night back in a week and boy was there a lot to discuss. We began with a quick peek a the feesha changes, how they happened and why they may provide a bit of hope for an otherwise lackluster start to an arc. Then, DJz goes on the defense about why scrapping multiple d'vors BEFORE t9 COULD be wise. But does it apply to everyone? Events are under the microscope...

Tonight we introduce the first Ferengi arc, Rules of Engagement and at first glance, there's a lot here to be desired. However, there is a set of the population that is going to benefit greatly from this new mechanic. Is it exciting? Maybe not, but is it useful? The answer is probably yes. PLUS, we dive into the feesha and her abilities. What crew works best? How does the math work? Will the Feren...
