What is Overflow? A podcast waking people to LIFE. Jesus promises us LIFE in His name through the electrifying work of the Holy Spirit. But how does that LIFE work? Too many of us are confused, drift, and get stuck just doing the best we can. Others of us are just hungry for more of the great stuff we have. Both can be satisfied, and electrified, as we learn to live LIFE in the Overflow.

How Clear is God's Will to You? 05.10.2026 15:40
We can spend so much energy trying to figure out the “right” path that we forget the God who is already walking with us. The Father has made His will clear: He wants His children to become more like Jesus. And He doesn’t ask us to accomplish that through our own effort or perfect decision-making. We live in the Overflow by responding to the love of the Father, following the example of Jesus, and l...
Are You Willing to Talk About It? | Emotional Processing 4 30.09.2026 31:50
Sometimes the hardest part of processing what we feel is actually talking about it . In this episode, Jim and Kate continue their eight-step journey into healthy emotional processing by exploring what it means to verbalize our feelings. They discuss why we need safe people, what makes someone trustworthy, why listening often matters more than offering solutions, and how Jesus gives us a model for...

Looking at Jesus in Gethsemane, they explore why naming an emotion...
Demonic Interference | 1 Thess 2:17-3:5 21.09.2026 16:01
Spiritual warfare can be an uncomfortable subject, but Paul treats it as a normal reality of following Jesus. In 1 Thessalonians 2–3, he identifies Satan as the force behind opposition to his ministry and worries that the enemy might interfere with the spiritual growth of the Thessalonians. That doesn't mean every struggle is demonic, but Scripture calls us to consider spiritual opposition al...
Are You Allowing Yourself to Feel? | Emotional Processing 2 16.09.2026 27:21
What if the problem isn’t that you feel too much, but that you don’t let yourself feel at all? In the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus gives us a radically different model for emotional health. He doesn’t stuff his grief, minimize his distress, or pretend he’s fine. He allows himself to feel deeply and fully, even as he remains surrendered to the Father. Jim and Kate talk about the ways we learn unheal...
What Does Real Faith Look Like? | 1 Thess 2:9-16 14.09.2026 16:41
What does the evidence of genuine faith actually look like? In 1 Thessalonians 2, Paul points to a church whose faith wasn’t merely something they claimed. It was visible in the way they loved one another, received God’s Word, and remained steadfast in the face of suffering. Their lives had become evidence that the love of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit was doing something real in them. 🔔 Subs...
Who is Your Emotional Teacher? | Emotional Processing 1 09.09.2026 29:51
Where did you learn how to handle your emotions? For most of us, the answer is not Jesus. We learned from our families, our culture, our experiences, and sometimes from people who never learned healthy emotional processing themselves. In the first episode of "8 Steps to Healthy Emotional Processing", Jim and Kate explore what it means to choose Jesus as our emotional teacher. Looking at...
It's Not You, It's Me | 1 Thess 2:1-8 07.09.2026 18:43
What if the real question isn’t simply, “What is God doing through me?” but , “What is God doing in me?” In 1 Thessalonians 2:1–8, Paul gives us a glimpse into the heart behind his ministry. His boldness came from God, his motives were shaped by a desire to please God, and his ministry was fueled by genuine love for people. In this episode, we explore how God’s work in our hearts ultimately shapes...
What if You Could See? | 1 Thess 1:1-10 31.08.2026 19:33
What if you could see what God is doing in the people around you? What if you could recognize the fingerprints of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in your own community and your own story? That is where Paul begins his letter to the Thessalonians. Their faith, love, and hope had become visible evidence of God’s work, and their lives were beginning to impact everyone around them. As we launch this...

What Good Does It Do God If I Suffer? | Psalm 30 24.08.2026 15:19
What if you prayed something as audacious as, “God, what good does it do You if I’m miserable?” David does exactly that in Psalm 30. But beneath the audacity is a profound truth about God's glory, our suffering, and the kind of life our Father actually wants for His children. What if sometimes the most faithful thing we can do is ask God to deliver us—not just for our sake, but for His? 🔔 Su...

We live in a world obsessed with image, but God is after something deeper: integrity. Psalm 101 asks what happens when we stop managing appearances and start letting the character of our Father reshape who we actually are. David has some strong words for people who lack integrity, but before we wield them against the world, we have to let them search our own hearts. Because integrity begins with b...
