The A-side opens with the title track: spacious arpeggios and dreamy textures create a soundscape that invites you to get lost in the music, a tribute to the carefree spirit of the ’90s. "Techla" follows with a more minimal, introspective vibe. Its hypnotic bassline feels like a journey into the unknown. The B-side starts with "Somo", a bright and catchy track full of sunny melodies and feel-good...

One of contemporary boogie’s biggest grails finds its way back to Star Creature in a full cir-cle moment much larger than 7” in diameter. MIA made her debut for Mango Hill records with 2020’s heart-shaped Valentine’s debut “Something ‘ Bout Your Love”. Shortly after, the label put out a call for producers focusing on the boogie sound at the same time Toronto’s Gil Masuda was previewing some demos...

Like a rare strain of sonic mycelium, Mushroom Funk spreads across continents, genres, and minds with the hallucinatory richness of a magic mushroom trip. Born from a chance connection through mentor Osunlade, the partnership between Flip and Inkswel grew from their debut Early in the AM into a full-blown collaboration, even before they ever met in person. Their bond was cemented in 2025, leading...

After a long gestation period, E-G-G is now emerging as the synthesis of sound research and introspection by french producer Rare0000 (rare-four-zeros). Through four resolutely club-oriented tracks, the EP unfolds an alien universe where each sound becomes living matter. Textures expand, frequencies fragment and rhythms contort while the electrostatic layers that run through the entire project ske...

Proud to present you our third RETROFUTUR compilation, including 6 tracks by our most regular artists. Once again, Berlin's My Secret Playground stands out as the architect of a muscular German nu-disco, flirting with the boundaries of techno. “Don't Panic” combines percussive pulses and dark tension, while distilling subtle reminiscences of the disco aesthetic. A masterful sonic hybrid, between r...

Running Hot’s eponymous new label is finally here. Kicking things off with 'Bad For The Body, Good For The Soul', four brand new dancefloor-ready cuts from the man himself ready for some heavy rotation this summer. “Local Dealer” gets us started with rattling percussion, moody strings and vocal cuts reminiscent of some forgotten 90s NY classic before “Doggo’s Groove” heads into slicker disco-fuele...

Flash Atkins has pulled together a crack team of musicians for Sanza Mibale Ya Bo Pemi. It is a tribute to the golden age of afro disco, when the sounds of 70s New York found their way to the continent and fused with local musical styles and rhythms. Felix Ngindu sings in his native Lingala language from DRC over a locked bass, congas, keys, percussion, rhythm guitar and a brass section from Haggi...

“I Want You to Get Mad” doesn’t come to entertain — it comes to disrupt. Virtual Geisha’s debut is a sonic punch against apathy. After years of hypnotizing with emotionally charged DJ sets and visionary curatorship, she breaks through as a producer with a techno manifesto built to set the dancefloor on fire. At its core pulses a searing monologue from Network (1976), as urgent now as it was four d...

For those opting for psychedelic enlightenment over psychological terror, Helsinki based artist Jeku presents ‘Peyote Trance’; further advancements into “the trip”. A nudge towards ascendance instead of a heavy push, the heads down motion of the music will take you there, and well, a little bit of peyote might just help, as mother nature intended.

Following their successful releases on Chequered Wax, Fresh Take Records and Andras Records, Bristol & Brighton based duo Sonic Juncture, comprised of Josh Twigge-Molecey & George Protheroe, share their latest EP 'Planetary Pursuit' with Westival Records. Their opening track, 'XDimensional' hits us with an attention-grabbing sub bass that continues throughout, with a variety of synth textures and...

Subterranean Playhouse taps into Chicago lineage with a two-tracks taken from DJ Slugo's part of the multi-label Dance Mania Legends compilation release. Dropping September 12, 2025, “How We Do” and “Last of The Year (Whip That)” keep things lean: dry, swinging drums, a pushed low end, and vocal stabs that land - this is how it's done correctly. The palette is narrow by design, that is exactly the...

Velum Waves is a minimalist and atmospheric journey through delicate, organic soundscapes. Its floating, generative character invites calm and contemplation—an elegant sonic exploration that embraces stillness and space.

Canopy is a Portuguese based label now in its fourth year, run by New Zealand born Emmanuel Dalton aka Sumosui. RNT introduces MOTEL PHANTASMA, a new project from a mysterious production duo with their incendiary Claptrap EP. A tasty double A-side 7”, this pair of tracks establishes the MP sound as both club-tough and musically weighty. The title track is a peaktime weapon of epic proportions, oozing slippery electronic percussion, razory synth work, and in-your-face vocal incantations delivered in Portugue...

Brisbane collective Apparatus teams up with Wales producer Aloka for a two-track EP born from a few drizzly days in the city. Not exactly what you’d expect when swapping Wales for palm trees, but the rain kept the crew indoors and turned downtime into a writing session. The result is a snapshot of international collaboration in a city that’s been quietly exporting talent, while building its own st...

"Musique Pour Enfiler Des Perles" is the third EP by Poison Gauchiste, aka Eric Labbé, following "Musique Pour Faire Différentes Choses" and "Musique Pour Monter En Haut". It is the result of a slow maturation process, shaped by summer idleness and long winter evenings over the past two years. The EP features five compositions that, as always, blend quirky influences with distinctly personal oddit...
