Transfiguration Sunday is a weekend when we remember that Jesus truly is God Almighty. On the Mount of Olives Jesus pulls back His humanity and shows us all the glory that is within Him. It absolutely blows my mind to think that the Great I AM, the Creator and sustainer of all things, the beginning and the end, God Himself would take on human flesh and walk amongst us. Jesus is a God who loves us...

Chapter 14 in the book of Romans

This week we look at how Jesus was sent as the grace of God & the love of God. The good news of God was that the Father loved the world so much that He sent His one and only Son. Jesus came not to condemn the world but to save the world on account of sin. Jesus was sent to bring the grace & love of God to this sinful world. Everything that Jesus did was motivated by His grace and love for His crea...

Chapter 13 book of Romans

This week we see how Jesus truly is the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of whole world. What an amazing epiphany to connect the Old Testament with the New Testament on this amazing truth. The Israelites put the blood of the lamb on the door frames to protect them from the angel of death and then ate the lamb to strengthen them for the journey ahead. As Jesus sat with His disciples, to celebrate...

The Wedding at Cana might seem like an odd scripture passage for this week but really it shows us more of the humanity of Jesus then we might think. As Jesus lived out His earthly ministry He looked like every other Jewish male at the time. The incarnation of God went to a wedding reception, drank wine, danced with friends but also transformed the party from the inside out. Jesus listened to His m...

This week we look into a subject that we all want more of...namely , peace. We live in a world that is the definition of “unrest”. We live in a world that is tumultuous beyond belief. We lay down at night and wonder “What’s next?” and we really don’t want to know because we lay awake in fear! But we also know that in Jesus and through Jesus we have what the world could never give us...the peace th...

This week we work through a difficult topic of the power of Jesus to perform miracles. This topic is difficult because of the sheer amount of suffering that people go through in their lives. Everyone would say they are in need of some sort of earthly miracle and today we are reminded that Jesus has the power to do all things. We are empowered to ask God for those miracles and to help us in our unb...

As Jesus led His disciples, He was constantly teaching them the truth of the Kingdom of God and how things have been created. David says that, “good and upright is the Lord, and He instructs sinners in the way, He leads the humble in what is right and teaches the humble His way.” What an amazing thing that Jesus would want to come to us in order to show us the path of salvation.
