So to celebrate the birthday of the man who played Hannibal King, Deadpool, Green Lantern AND Deadpool again, I went back to one of his more serious roles... The horror the title implies is very much present, but I think this is one of those remakes I may like more than the original. The jury is still kind of out on that since I haven't seen the original in a while, but this was a good rewatch. A...

There was a lot of hesitation with this one, and some are probably curious why... It started with me pretty much thinking I wasn't going to enjoy this since I was never that big on it. And it ended with me definitely remembering why this is hailed as a Halloween season classic. Enjoy, people.

Art The Clown... That is all. Enjoy, folks.

It slipped my mind that today is Guillermo del Toro's birthday, so this seems pretty appropriate... As a certified geek for these books, this was and dream come true to see come to life. Does the rating restrict it from some wild things tonally? Sure. But do they manage to create a great atmosphere overall and some memorable moments? Absolutely. Enjoy, people.

There's no getting around what damn near everyone says about any of these movie outside of the original... "Sometimes Dead Is Better". I won't say whether that applies here overall or not, but I can say that they try to add context to Jud and the town of Ludlow. Enjoy, y'all.

In all honesty, I did more than my fair share of geeking out and praising this during the commentary... So no long caption needed. This movie deserves more love than it gets. Enjoy, people.

The way this trailer starts off is disturbing enough... That said, I'm very much looking forward to seeing Eli Roth establish himself as a holiday horror director. He deserves it. Enjoy, people.

Not many 80s slasher movies genuinely scared me back in the day, but this was always such a gem to me... From the backstory of the Garth family to the setting of Garth manor, there's so many pluses that fly here. There's also two monsters for the price of one, which complicates things for our victims in the mix. Enjoy, folks.

Rest In Peace to Joe "Crazy Joe" Clark, and I stand on when I said that today's kids and society overall could use the presence of someone so impactful... Obviously this movie is another classic but given the way things tend to go in today's school system, the relevance here is stronger than ever. Enjoy, people.

If there was ever a time in my life where I would fully invite toxicity into my podcast, it's right now... The fact that this actually happened and the fact that I've always low key wanted to see it play out, I was happy it came to life. R-rating and all, they've claimed to keep the spirit of the nasty and exploitation around, so that's a win. Whether it's good or not is still up in the air. Enjoy...

Every time I go back and revisit this one, I'm reminded of just how calmly terrifying Samuel L. Jackson can be on screen... In this movie, he's like the most modest, petty and easy going serial killer to ever touch a grade book. Enjoy, y'all.

It's traveling time!... There's no lengthy caption needed here. This film is nothing shy of historic. Enjoy, folks.

I remember this being a pretty popular flick back in the day, but it's always gotten by me until now... And let me just say that Mrs. Tingle here has officially surpassed all of my teachers of terror I've encountered during my years of school. They ain't got nothing on her, and the dialogue that's given to her. Enjoy, people.

This is easily as joyful as we're going to get with the theme this month, and I'm completely alright with that... I've said it before and I'll say it again, this movie is so amazingly epic that it's hard to even entertain the idea of a third film. The jury is still out on that, but my overall reactions are proof that this may be one of the best sing-a-long films ever. Enjoy, folks.

Have y'all ever heard the one about the podcaster who was long overdue for his commentary for this underrated slasher?... It plays out pretty well actually, because there's a lot of praise to be had here since it seems Jamie Blanks still doesn't get his dues for this. It's almost a love letter to genre fans with some of it's casting and some moments. Enjoy, people.

I'm not going to lie, this chick started off as one cool and interesting roommate... Very much into art, steers clear of clubs and bars, pretty much introverted, etc.... All was well until the whole murderous threat, stage five clinger, completely insane stuff came into the mix. That really derailed our chances to get along, but maybe she can share a strong bond with Sara here. Right? Enjoy, folks...

It's here... That is all. DC, do this justice. Enjoy, y'all.

"Sometimes dead is better"... Normally I'd say that damn sure applies here. And while I have extremely little to no expectations for this, I'm going to be fair people. But if this turns out terrible, maybe we can bury it in the sour soil and hope it comes back better? Enjoy, people.

I noticed that this kind of doesn't make sense for a Back To School episode when these sorority sisters are nearing the end of the year when shit hits the fans... But the lessons learned still count here. This is another one of those cases where the remake is better than the original, and I forgot this sets itself up for a sequel. Black Christmas 2019 probably made sure all cinematic sorority hous...

I know, I'm two days late uploading this... But it's been a hectic few days to say the least. Things will be back on track. Enjoy, y'all.

Bow your heads, and say your prayers... Eli Roth is back with a holiday themed horror slasher that may ring a bell. I'm not sure just what will be served when he rings said bell, but I know there's cherry pie splashing all over it. Enjoy, folks.

There's a disclaimer here... Read it, then enjoy accordingly. Not that there's some BIG issues in my opinion, but it's just that this movie would be considered "controversial" in today's climate. But y'all know how we have fun with the content here, so strap in. Enjoy, people.

Two posession victims this time around, so trailer two was expected at this point... But as we get closer to the release of this direct sequel, I don't need anymore trailers. These two have been quite enough. Enjoy, folks.

Kicking off this month's theme with my favorite of these types of films... The ones where the teacher tries his/her best to reason with and educate a bunch of bad ass kids/teens. From the moment Gangsta's Paradise sets the opening credits off to the moment these students convince LouAnne Johnson to stay at Parkmont High School. Poetry in motion, pun intended. Enjoy, y'all.

I believe there's 5 more episodes left of this show at this point, so I'll make this the point where we break for a bit and let the first half of this season settle in... It's definitely been a solid ride so far, and I'm really looking forward to a strong closer. And some insane car carnage that I came here for in the first place. Enjoy, people.
