The Good Group

We can't believe we recorded another show in less than a week of the last one, and this one features our friend, TV Host, Tory Shulman. Win-win!

The group gathers, for the first time in 2020, remotely to discuss what they're watching in stay-at-home quarantine. Fun.

The Group, along with our friend David, dives into which actors have NOT won an Oscar yet, but should have by now. It's quite serious.

Our friend David fills in for an under-the-weather Philo while we recognize the D-Day anniversary by barely skimming the surface of our favorite WWII movies.

It's Oscar season and we take a deep dive into a shallow pond. (Or something like that)

In honor of one of our own getting hitched, we decide to explore our favorite rom-coms.

With one member absent, we talk movies we've enjoyed this year and what we're looking forward to. Also we trash the Oscars a bit.

This time out, the Group dives into famous and not-so-famous movie quotes that tickle their fancy.

We welcome yet another former ReelzChannel colleague, actor/comedian and mega film-fan, Ben Begley, to the show to catch up and pick our favorite movie series. We had to do this episode without sci-fi sage Philo, but we made the best of it!

A mix of topics but we do spend some time talking about our favorite long-lasting actors. Oh, and we also name check our one listener. Hopefully he's not litigious.

We've got a good show with two guests: film critic Christy Lemire and her husband, TV producer and our former colleague, Chris. What are those classic movies you somehow missed? Who are your favorite character actors? What the heck is a character actor? All that and the obligatory Star Trek detour. Enjoy!

Do movies make good TV series? Do TV series make good movies? We don't know either but we'll sure talk a lot about it. Please enjoy our landmark tenth episode.

It's time for Philo to shine: we've got a Star Trek-centric episode! Joining us this time is actress and TV/Web/Radio host Tory Shulman, no Star Trek slouch herself. They don't call her "Hurricane Tory" for nothing. Actually they don't call her that, we do.

Which crazy movie situation would you prefer to experience in real life? The Group decides between several pairs of scenarios. Agree, disagree or make your own. Let us know what you think. Also, Ian is wrong (even if I agree with him).

Join us as we welcome honorary "Group" member David for our discussion of the Rolling Stone 100 Greatest TV Shows of All Time.

The group discusses an L.A. Times article which ranks the films of Steven Spielberg. There is much disagreement.

We have our first guest! Our friend and former co-worker, television personality and executive producer of both "The Price is Right" and "Let's Make a Deal," Mike Richards! Oh, and he's funny too.

More TV talk including favorites through the years.

The Good Group starts the series' discussion about TV.

The Good Group continues their discussion of favorites, zeroing in on science fiction films. There is much Star Wars talk. Oh, and Planet of the Apes.

Meet The Good Group. Our first podcast of four friends talking about their favorite movies and TV shows. This first show has them picking favorites in specific movie genres.
