The Generations Radio Program

The devotional writer and a true leader for the college discipleship movement, Jerry Bridges passed away on Sunday. Here is our last interview with this man of God, on developing discipleship relationships vs. the shallow, pseudo-relational community so common in the church today. We present this in memory of Jerry Bridges.

The Best Picture award in the 2016 Academy Awards goes to the film Spotlight, a drama that exposes the pedophilia scandal in the Roman Catholic Church. But what about the other film just produced that exposes the pedophilia scandals in Hollywood? Distributors won't touch the film. However, there is some divine justice as big media brings big corrupt churches down. We also attempt to answer th...

Finally, the liberals on the Supreme Court are calling for less regulation of the medical industry for once, at least when it comes to killing babies. Also, the conservatives on the Supreme Court are really concerned about the conditions in these clinics rats running the hallways, etc. But which of the rats are we more concerned about? The best case for this Supreme Court decision will be a 4-4 de...

Donald Trump's recent tax submission indicates huge donations to GLSEN and other homosexual outfits. The GLSEN group is intended to indoctrinate young children in homosexuality, and the organization recommends books minimizing or embracing pedophilia. Why are evangelicals flocking to support Donald Trump at higher rates than ever? Is it his support for homosexuality or Planned Parenthood or ....

Kara Tippetts made the news when she attempted to convince a subject of medical suicide not to do it. She was dying of cancer herself when she made the appeal. We review Kara Tippett's life and death with Jill Buteyn, who co-authored a book with Kara called Just Show Up . Friendships can be forged in the midst of suffering that is, real friendships. Here is a powerful message.

Christians are losing court cases against the gay borg, and they are walking away from the legal fights and throwing in the towel. Freedom of speech is threatened in California on the college campuses and in the pro-life pregnancy centers. We suggest a few workarounds, offering a strategy to maintain at least some sort of freedom of contracts. Time to give up on all wedding businesses? Will free e...

Does a man who uses profanity and obscene language have any respect for man or fear of God? On this edition of the program, we take a look at Donald Trump's obscenity and other politicians' use of profanity. If the empire is disintegrating, then what sort of qualifications would a president need to oversee the demolition of a nation? Who's the best guy to lead the nation if this is...

This is the message for 21st century America. God destroyed a disobedient world once with a worldwide flood, saving eight people in an ark. It really happened in history. They never thought that the rains would come, and one day the rains came. Now they're saying the same thing today. They say that the flood never happened and judgment will never come in the future. But it will. It's the...

The new blockbuster, The Witch , is supported by the satanists in Detroit and by 88% of film critics on Rotten Tomatoes. The real villains in the movie are the Puritans, and the heroes are the human-sacrificing witches. One's worldview is tested by what he considers to be heroes and villains, and this movie proves the point. We take a look at Nathaniel Hawthorne's The Scarlet Letter and...

Major scientific breakthroughs do not happen every day. They require a combination of inspiration, perspiration, and, of course, the mercy of God. This particular medical invention has contributed to saving millions of lives. Kevin Swanson interviews Dr. Raymond Damadian, the inventor of the first Human Magnetic Resonance Imaging Machine in 1977. Dr. Damadian gives God the glory for this amazing t...

Over 2 billion people believe the story, and the efforts of the Roman guards to cover up the resurrection obviously didn't work. We discuss the new film just released, Risen, and go over the proofs of Christ's resurrection with Christian apologist Eric Hovind.

We compare the description of Bill and Hillary Clinton's Methodism against what John Wesley actually taught . . . and they are worlds apart! Then we look at the major upset happening with the Republican Party. The establishment is out, and Trump is in! What are the things that split the conservatives and the Christians every time? They give up on fundamental principles and divide on the minor...

Deadpool has broken 9 box office records while crossing new boundaries in sexuality. They call it pan-sexuality. But then again, the X-Men franchise has already exited the closet, with Iceman coming out of the closet just last year. The director himself admitted that the whole X-Men message was intended to sell homosexuality to 15-year-old boys. Should Christians be watching these Marvel movies? W...

Evangelicals are increasingly nervous with Republican candidate for president, Donald Trump. Planned Parenthood does wonderful things with all their distributions of abortifacients and abortions and such. Trump's pro-abort extremist judge would make a phenomenal supreme court justice. Here we encourage Christians to be discerning with politics and science. Gene editing and three parent embryo...

Justice Scalia's death has introduced seismic shifts in the balance of power in American governance. Christian liberty cases, the Texas abortion law, the contraceptive mandate . . . they all hang in the balances now. The four solid pro-family, anti-big government, constitutional justices just became three. It's doubtful that we will ever see another Scalia again in our generation. The st...

The president compared Christianity's Inquisitions to Islam's jihads, but there are still important differences. The Koran is quite open about jihad and killing infidels, while Jesus Christ was very clear that there ought not to be any separating of wheat and tares before the end.

We take a few minutes and pull the data on the last seven years with President Barack Obama at the helm. The long and short government has increased, taxes have increased, the median income has dropped, and there's been a huge increase in the cost of living. Net household worth has dropped 40% since 2007, now lower than it was in 1969. However, there are reasons to celebrate! The islands of f...

Socialist countries are increasingly eroding the foundation of the family unit in hundreds of ways. Perhaps the most egregious way is found in the attack on parental rights and the confiscation of children from Christian families. The Bodnariu family in Norway lost all of their children, including the baby, when the children confessed to their public school teacher that they believed in God and th...

This president appeals to Scripture more than any other, but does his interpretation meet the standards of orthodoxy? Obama uses one verse from Leviticus, but why won't he use another? We analyze the president's use of Scripture on this edition of the program.

Ted Cruz called it Nuts! However, Marco Rubio, Jeb Bush, and Chris Christie thought it was a good idea to include our daughters and wives in selective service or the military draft. Is this a watershed issue for Christians? Here we take a look at a biblical perspective on the military draft for women. Are we raising our daughters to enter the Air Force Academy for combat pilot training? Are we rai...

A full 92% of American girls own a Barbie doll. The originator copied Barbie off of a German prostitute doll used as a gag gift at stag parties. Now the feminists are upset that Barbie objectifies the female body and created the standard look for girls in the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s. Do Christians agree with feminists? Not exactly. On this edition of the program, we take a look at a...

The murder of 14-year-old Nicole Lovell has raised the attention of a nation for several reasons. All involved have a Christian background. The accused 19-year-old Virginia Tech student is a Lutheran, and she was active in teaching at a church camp. The accused 18-year-old, also a Virginia Tech student, spent 9 years in a school called Riverside Christian School in Washington state, where he was a...

The ideological distance between Bill Clinton and Bob Dole was about 38%. The distance between Bernie Sanders and Ted Cruz is 380%. It's hard to tell where this nation is going to end up, since the establishment has been jettisoned. One thing is for sure, God will do what He wants with America. Are conservative radio talk show hosts helping the situation or hurting? We throw out a few caution...

The problem of slothful men will be endemic in a world where boys are raised without fathers, and where faith and character in general is at a premium. What does do with a lazy son who will not work? What does the church do with a lazy husband who offers a hundred excuses why he can't work and provide for his own household? We suggest that Paul's advice is sufficient.

From caring for children to caring for parent in their failing and ailing years, there are very real spiritual challenges along the way. . . especially when we discover that we cannot fix everything problem by institutional care. Sometimes God calls us to really get involved in the business of loving the needy. Marcia Washburn is the author of the new book, Home-Based Eldercare tells the stories a...
