Hag 2:1-9 ESV – In the seventh month, on the twenty-first day of the month, the word of the LORD came by the hand of Haggai the prophet: "Speak now to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and to all the remnant of the people, and say, 'Who is left among you who saw this house in its former glory? How do you see it now? Is it not a...

The Book of Psalms ends with a crescendo of praise– five psalms of hearty and uplifting doxology. This reflects something of the trajectory of the entire Scriptures as well as of God's great plan of redemption for all creation. In the end, it will all be unadulterated praise to God in glory. But the final five psalms encourage us not to wait until then to praise the Lord. Instead, they give us goo...

This morning we examine Jude and the Holy Spirit's warning about error, and the answer he gives the Church as their only defense against error and apostasy

The sermon explores the theological concept that God uses affliction and tribulation to perfect a believer's faith, rather than to punish them. Drawing from James 1 and Psalm 119, the message argues that suffering serves as a necessary process to remove self-reliance and allow the Holy Spirit to fill the believer, resulting in patience and spiritual maturity. The preacher emphasizes that this divi...

Acts 19:1-7

This week, we took a brief pause from our current series as Elder Kyle Nickerson preached a sermon from Romans 8:22-29 entitled, "The Spirit of Intercession". In it, we explored why does the Christian life involve so much waiting, weakness, and groaning? And what does it mean when Paul says that God is working all things together for the good of His people? Find out in this timely sermon and what...

Everyone speaks out of the treasure of their heart, and all shall be known and judged by their words. 1. Words against the King 2. Words against the Spirit 3. The heart behind the words

For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe. (1 Thessalonians 2:13) *1/ The word of God heard through men. 2/ The Word of God retains its authority though heard through men. 3/ The Word of God receive...

This sermon explores the inevitability of opposition faced by Christians, rooted in the world's rejection of Jesus and its warped moral standards. It explains that believers are attacked because they represent God's truth and have been chosen out of the world, leading to a sense of distance and hostility in social and professional spheres. The message reframes this conflict as a spiritual courtroo...

This sermon examines the church of Thessalonica as a prototype for the Christian life, emphasizing that the gospel arrives not merely as words but with the sovereign power of the Holy Spirit. The central message highlights five fruits of this divine power: genuine conversion from idolatry, a virtuous life characterized by faith, love, and hope, a Christ-centered devotion, a God-centered trust, and...

As you look at this wonderful Psalm I think it would be obvious to even the causal reader that we ,in fact do need God's Word. In fact, verse 7 tells us that the Law of the Lord is perfect and it restores the soul. Even without a broader definition of the word perfect or restore we can see that The Lord wants us to know that His word has tremendous benefits from those who read it. So, dive into th...

This sermon expounds on the doctrine that salvation is entirely the work of God, emphasizing that it is a gracious gift wrought in chosen sinners without human assistance. The message outlines six key characteristics of this divine work: it is God's salvation, it is eternal in nature, it is common to all believers, it is personal to each individual, it is of great magnitude, and it ultimately belo...

This Bible study explores the narrative in Acts 8 where Philip is divinely redirected to share the gospel with an Ethiopian eunuch, marking the first significant expansion of the message beyond Judea and Samaria. The central theological theme centers on the interpretation of Isaiah 53, where Philip explains the substitutionary atonement of Jesus Christ to the eunuch, who had been reading the proph...
