Nothing is more hurtful emotionally and spiritually than the betrayal of a close friend. We rust friends to be loyal to us- not excusing our shortcomings and sin, but at least appreciating us for our good, godly qualities. When those friends choose to become our enemy, the betrayal is gut-wrenching!

Memory can be a very helpful asset- it allows us to think and do things 'automatically' without having to consciously think through everything. But memory can also be a burden to us if we keep mulling over our past sins and failures. For these times, let us remember our loving Savior and HIs forgiveness!
