All my own AI assisted tracks, are free to download. I do not monetise any of these tracks; I do however claim copyright in all but a few of the lyrics and the music in many of the lyricsI have been writing songs "on and off" since1959 until the present. As a songwriter, I write purely for the pleasure it gives me. I have always been pleased with my songs which have been mainly from genres such as folk/blues, rock and roll and general pop (in the style of the sixties). My musical skills are quite limited and the early demos on Soundcloud, prior to two years ago, are of me singing and accompany...

Epizody

Rock And Roll Frenzy2 08.08.2024

Yes, I know, another AI song courtesy Suno. Just filling my playlist - But this one is really raw and heavy, I like it Copyright of Suno (created with a free account)

Dance To The Moon2 04.08.2024

Nearly at the end of my little experiment with SUNO AI, I have been more than happy with the results and will be doing a litle editing to clean up some of the tracks. I will probably not add more than a few more, just to complete the playlist, I shall return to those tracks which feature me and my uke or guitar, or me singing. Mainly demos of my original songs, the latter being produced and record...

Down Again 30.07.2024

Still banging away with the AI (generated by SUNO AI). Lots of issues but not stopping to edit text or the track at the moment, just enjoying the fun of "creating" and hearing "my music". I know many people would disagree but The lyrics are born in my head and the music is massaged and moulded to a certain extent, it is not all down to the computer. Although to be fair to the AI, what you get does...

Win You Back (2) 27.07.2024

I had decided not to post any more AI songs, but I have spent the last two weeks enjoying a journey into the topic. I had intended to use some of my old lyrics (1960's vintage) to hear them in a new way but could not really get along with the way a computer sang the lyrics; most annoying was the way the AI voice did not agree with where the strong and weak syllables should be placed in the lines....

On My Way Home1 20.07.2024

I have become addicted to Suno AI, can't stop creating new songs. Despite a few failures, most because of my own incompetence using the prompts, many are based on my own lyrics from the 1960's and I am loving the freedom to hear new, up-todate versions of my songs. Or new songs from bare ideas in any of dozens (hundreds?) of genres. Yes, I know how AI is looked at my many musicians who trying to m...

My Uke Is Gonna See Me Through The Day2 16.07.2024

Over the past week or so I have been toying with SUN0 v3.5. an AI tool for creating songs. It allows you to prompt with your own lyrics and this is one of the first I tracks I have generated in this way. The lyrics were from a song I wrote when I first started playing the uke, but this has bought the song up-todate. I am enjoying this experience as I have limited options for producing my own songs...

Patterns On My Mind1 16.07.2024

Over the past week or so I have been toying with SUN0 v3.5. an AI tool for creating songs. It allows you to prompt with your own lyrics and this is one of the first I tracks I have generated in this way. The lyrics were from a song I wrote in the seventies, but this has bought the song up-todate. I am enjoying this experience as I have limited options for producing my own songs. I may well post on...

Memories (ukulele demo) 05.07.2024

Another of my early songs from the early sixties. Lyrics do show a little immaturity but I have deliberately not revised or edited. Maybe the sort of thing I was hearing at the time on the radio. An acoustic ukulele has been played thru a pedal chain including:- compressor/sustain, chorus, delay and tremelo pedals. A second delay from the inbuilt "effect" on the amp. Most effects kept to a low eff...

In The Morning (I'll Be Gone) - ukulele demo 05.07.2024

Another of my early songs, this one from 1964/5'ish. I Sing My Song In Remembrance (2024) 27.06.2024

A very sombre song with a backing to match. This is the fifth song from a collaborative project, all instruments by my collaborator who records in his home studio, mixes and masters the finished track. I bring my song to the project and complete the track with the vocal. This is worth hearing with headphones or external speaker to enjoy the full benefit of the bass tones from the lead guitar.

Don't Set Me Free (ukulele demo) 10.06.2024

The second song written togther with "Just A Game". I was doing a postal course learning a little more about blues (12 bar, etc) and wrote these two using very basic chords. Not a lot of effort into the lyrics?? However, this project is about trying to record some of my early writing, so I have left the original lyrics. What made me think of these two songs was the fact Our uke club just had a wor...

Just A Game - Ukulele demo 08.06.2024

Another recording session tonight. Two more of my very early songs from the very early sixties. I was doing a postal course learning a little more about blues (12 bar, etc) and wrote these two using very basic chords. Not a lot of effort into the lyrics?? However, this project is about trying to record some of my early writing, so I have left the original lyrics. What made me think of these two so...

In The Jungle Of My Mind- ukulele demo 06.06.2024

The third of the current recordind session. A little unappy with this one but including it here as an impression of what it sounded like when written back in the sixties. I may decide to add some "sparkle" to the vocal, but for now it is what it is. "Not everyone is a winner everytime" and this is a little like a personal history for me.

Back Home (uke demo) 03.06.2024

The second of the sixties, acoustic tracks recorded yesterday, This one is a very simple song; about someone who has tried the "big city" but has decided to return home where he can live his lif as himself.

Sing Me A Simple Song - ukulele demo 02.06.2024

I have just completed recording a session of three more of my older songs. This time completely acoustic recording, no amp or pedals. A hint of reverb added post recording and mastered with the Sound Cloud app. This song written in the sixties, one of my early favourites, has some unexpected chord sequences which I really liked. e.g. the last line of each verse has chords F Bb G G7 C. the Bb used...

Put Down Your Gun Boy (ukulele demo) original song 21.05.2024

Another from my back catalogue, this one written in 1977. No idea what prompted this one or where the title may have come from. Sometimes a song would suface from a headline in a newspaper, etc.

My Guitar (Ukulele demo), original song 21.05.2024

Hey man, I feel the blues a-comin' on. Back to my back catalogue, this one written in 1975. I cannot remember what specifically moved me to write this but one of my favourite albums at the time was a Sonny Terry & Brownie McGee compilation. Hope it grabs ya!

Rock & Roll Is King - ukulele cover 16.05.2024

The second of two songs chosen to be performed at my local uke club as a tribute to Richard Tandy of ELO (keyboard), who passed away recently. I very nearly did not post this track; for two reasons. It is not a style I sing well and secondly I could not properly get my tongue around that phrase, "wamalama bamalama". I could hardly stop myself from laughing as I mangled the syllables. This was the...

Hold On Tight - ukulele cover 15.05.2024

I recorded recorded this song as a small tribute to Richard Tandy who passed away recently, Richard played keyboards for ELO. This of course was one of their many successes.

Should True Love Be Discouraged 12.04.2024

Acoustic ukulel backed version of this early song, #1 in my back catalogue. Written in early sixties. But this is not the first song I wrote, just the first one I entered into the first of my lyric notebooks. Very simple chord progression, I must have just learned about adding a flattened seventh to move from I to a IV chord. (cf the first two lines of the verse). Just a couple more to come from t...

Depression (ukulele demo) 11.04.2024

One of the very earliest of my original songs, presented here as a simple (and quick) ukulele demo. I think I was probably thinking of Bob Dylan when I wrote this, at least that's my excuse. For info, this was numbered #7 in my catalogue now numbering above 250.

Sunny Day - guitar demo 08.04.2024

Another in the series of early, original songs from my back catalogue. This is a "pop-py" song with a jazzy vibe; being written in the early sixties, unfortunately I have no dates in my note books for this period. Trying to feature a little lead playing on this short song.
