All my own AI assisted tracks, are free to download. I do not monetise any of these tracks; I do however claim copyright in all but a few of the lyrics and the music in many of the lyricsI have been writing songs "on and off" since1959 until the present. As a songwriter, I write purely for the pleasure it gives me. I have always been pleased with my songs which have been mainly from genres such as folk/blues, rock and roll and general pop (in the style of the sixties). My musical skills are quite limited and the early demos on Soundcloud, prior to two years ago, are of me singing and accompany...

Epizody

Why Couldn't I Believe Her (Cover) 12.12.2024

I was a little unhapy at the views of this song as intially uploaded. Wondering why it was so well below average views, I listened to it and decided to create a Suno cover and try to spruce it up. This is the result. I think it is improved and sounds better with a fiddle lead, rather than with a big band sound. Maybe the wrong genre originally selected for this song, Or was it just too retro - any...

My Country Lady 11.12.2024

A song from 1977, I did not upload a clip to force the AI to use my original - a little pedestrian? But I did quite like this version (#6 I think, I also liked the fiddle). I do not like the way that Suno puts a strong western accent on vocals for country songs and it seems false if I offer a clip to a song in this genre. Hope it strikes a chord with you!

Shadows Of The Past 09.12.2024

This is another older song writtenin 1979, I dont think I have posted this one before, I was never really happy with the lyrics. However, I think using a bluesy style really works well, so thougt I would throw it open for your perusal. It is really growing on me in this version

The Baddest Boy 07.12.2024

I wrote the chorus of this song after reading a womans magazine, not somethin I ususally lower myself to (just joking!). But the title hit me as the basis for a song, and so spent the next two nights putting the rest of the lyric down. I had a rough tune in mind, but not really developed so quite honestly left it to Suno to see what it could do. I went thru a few iterations , it was really the str...

If 06.12.2024

After a slight break to do some necessary "Christmas related things", My latest offering ( updated with the help of SUNO v4) is this song which I wrote in the sixties. As usual, lots of editing - I am getting to know audacity quite well, at least a lot better than I did for my demos with the ukulele.

Silent Hope (remixed) 01.12.2024

A song I found to be difficult to achieve what I wanted with. Sometimes I find that Suno will get something very wrong and no amount of regenerating helps. The AI seems to remember what it has done and the reiterations just get worse and worse. However I persevered, and changed what I was doing with the prompts and slowly it improved. This was one of three versions I kept and it won on several cou...

Why Couldn't I Believe Her 28.11.2024

Here is a little Big Band music for a change. Using a song written by myself in December 1975. I have sample my voice singing a capella and uploaded to Suno. The AI did quite a good job simulating my voice and using the original melodies, but of course, it always tries to show off as it develops the song from the original. I like it, I hope it may work for you.

I can't stop singing - rock REMIX 26.11.2024

It had to come.... One of the real benefits of AI to the song writer, is the ease and speed with which countless versions/remixes/genres and styles can be assessed for each song. Yes, the writer may have genre and style in mind when writing but there are some songs which can be a success in more than one genre. I uploaded this song yesterday and I was challenged (?) what would this sound like as a...

I can't stop singing 24.11.2024

The first use of the new Suno v4. Excited to try this as sound quality is claimed to be better. Difficult to tell on this track, although I prompted for the backing to be minimalistic. It starts off very good but depending on your sound system you may think differently. The AI has chosen to include clapping rather than bass or drums, etc. This can be heard clearly by using headphones or external s...

What are you trying to do -with Orion Vox (Remastered) 22.11.2024

More new features in Suno. This has been remastered to the sound quality of the newly available Suno v4.0 This was really a test of this feature and an old lyric circa late 1960's. I also used the personas feature, Orion Vox was the one I chose here. Happy with the separation and clarity of the voice but not sure about the instrumentation, although I have no issues with it here.

For Ellen 14.11.2024

And now for something completely different (thanks, Monty Python) This track is a poem (see below), written by myself in a brief period where I forsook songs for poetry. Something which I did to widen the scope and subjects I was writing about. Anyway, I asked Suno for something, musical with Irish roots, and suitable to remember a dear old lady who had recently passed away. I was presented with t...

The Sun Don't Shine On Me 13.11.2024

One of the problems I have with Suno that it provides so many variations of genre and style that I cannot choose from. Yes there are songs which simply don't meet my expectations. Maybe not what I expected or nor sifficiently like my original idea. I only generated one iteration of this track (that meant two - often - dissimilar) variations. This marginally got my vote, although the duet came a ve...

You're Home Again 11.11.2024

Just reviewing the ealier tracks with Suno and came across this song. I remember writing this whilst waitin in the car for my wife who was shopping. When I write lyrics, I usually sing them over to myself to get the verses so that their lyrics scan the same. I also helps me to, in return. to write the lyrics and develop ideas. This provides a lyric with what is called Prosody. And the melody often...

Our Love Will Last (Just-In-Love) 10.11.2024

After explaing about the new Suno feature, "persona" and uploading a track that failed to live up to expectation (see "Lost In Silence), I was able to generate a track which created a duet (alternating male/female vocals) which satisfied me.and I felt worked, to a point. Although I used tags to identify which sections/lines were sung by the "duetists" or both, the AI still randomised them to a cer...

I have Nothing To Say (Just-In-Love) 09.11.2024

A failed experiment with the new Suno feature. The "persona" was saved from a song which was sung by a duet (alternating male and female voices) I did not think that it would allow me to get a duet, random ocurrence only in my experience with Suno. I was right, the use of a persona produced a female vocal only. However, I found I liked this song and the arrangement. I don't know if I am getting in...

Again And Again (Orion Vox) 08.11.2024

this what I think will be the first of two different versions of this song. Suno was very generous and while continuing eperiments with the new "persona" feature, I liked two of the versions so much I intend to post both, Don't worry you would never reognise them as the same song unless you listen to the lyrics. The song was written in 1976 - I had started to include a date with songs at this stag...

Lonely (Orion Vox) 07.11.2024

Playing around with Suno again. This time another "Persona", I have called it Orion Vox. A male voice, subtly different to my own, sounding younger and a better singer, I am guessing that 3 or 4 personas should make a great stable of singers (together with my own Suno voice of course. I think a bass, blues singer will be the next choice to complement my own abilities, watch this space... The song i...

Last Dance (Selena Skywalker) 06.11.2024

This is a track I very nearly threw out. I used the new persona feature from Suno for the first time and tried to generate a similar track to the one I chose for the "Persona". Ths original track, had a prompt containing the tag "minimalistic" - this time it was a little too much, almost boring. But I extended the new track (this song) and was knocked out by the ending. This track is the result af...

Don't Set Me Free 02.11.2024

Song written by John Dyhouse (early 1960's) and bought up to date using SUNO AI v3,5. The AI was prompted by using an audio clip of me singing an acapella version of the song, this enables the AI to model my voice and use the original melodies (verse/chorus/ bridge, etc. This is a song which I found difficult to match with any of the genres/styles which I initially tried to use. Some songs do seem...

Sounds Of Uncertainty 31.10.2024

This another song written in the 1960's which I have always liked but for some reason I have not yet managed to properly capture it in SUNO. This is the best I have managed - so far! The problem is, I think, that the AI retains an image of the first thing which is generated, and does not seem to be able to escape that image, yes you can change certain aspects such as the genre but incorrect lyrics...

Early One Morning 30.10.2024

I finally generated a new track today - so it has my own voice, but annoyingly not the original melodies. Although to be fair the AI got them fairly close. The original was written (by myself in the late sixties. Something I have realised in my experiments with Suno, something I should have realised is that not all lyrics are equal when faced with different genres. The time signature, the beat, th...

The River (8) 29.10.2024

THis was one of 14 different versions of this song created from an original song written by myself. I was using it to experiment with genres/styles, whilst I was getting to know Suno AI. I do not recognise the genre, but the prompt requested a rock ballad with an energetic synth lead. This was different and I liked the vocal, even tho it was not what I expected. The other versions are based on aco...

Are You Afraid Of The Dark ? 27.10.2024

Another experiment with Suno; A poem set to music or rather a poem with added music, or is that the same thing - anyway the poem came first. Are You Afraid of the dark? Once upon a midnight sombre, Through which came tapping, tapping, tapping. In there stepped a haunting downbeat, Still is rapping, still is rapping. I felt compelled to scour the setting I awoke with such a start. Ah, distinctly I...

Empty Spaces (Selena Skywalker) 26.10.2024

I had difficulty choosing which version of this song I should post here. I have five versions at least which I would have been happy to share, in the end I went for this one with a female vocalist ( which is rare for me as I like to be able to sing the songs I am generating on Suno. But I do like this approach, I hope that you will too. Lyrics - Empty Spaces [intro] (oooooh oooooh oh oh oooohhhh)...

Sing Me A Simple Song (Just-In-Love) 25.10.2024

This is one of a number of versions I generated of this track, with different prompts/styles. Simply experimenting with Suno, when I first started looking into the field of AI Assisted song writing. I am uploading this version for the simple reason that it was presented to me as a duet. Which I had never considered at all. But I do like it, I think it makes a wonderful song from what was a very si...
