All my own AI assisted tracks, are free to download. I do not monetise any of these tracks; I do however claim copyright in all but a few of the lyrics and the music in many of the lyricsI have been writing songs "on and off" since1959 until the present. As a songwriter, I write purely for the pleasure it gives me. I have always been pleased with my songs which have been mainly from genres such as folk/blues, rock and roll and general pop (in the style of the sixties). My musical skills are quite limited and the early demos on Soundcloud, prior to two years ago, are of me singing and accompany...

Epizody

The Song Of My Life 14.03.2025

Oh wow, one of my favourite songs, almost forgot to include this. Must have turned over two pages and missed this one. I already have at least 3 versions of my singing this song with a simple ukulele backing. Glad I found it on a last minute search through the notebooks. I hope you like this song as much as I do.

When I'm With You 13.03.2025

Felt the lyrics deserved a big ballad with a rock orchestra. my first thoughts were country, but by the time I had typed them in, I had changed my mind. Hope you like it as much as I do. Originally written early 1960's, but again a song which I didn't sing very often, listeniing to this, I realise why - it simply needs a bigger backing than I could give with my acoustic guitar.

In The Jungle Of My Mind 13.03.2025

I keep finding them... I was way too hard on myself - and on the songs from my past. This was written in the late 60's (possibly early 70's) - I am beginning to see how much of a mess my first lyric notebook is in as regards dating. Prompting Suno for a slow jazz-ballad, Americana, and orchestra with full brass section has delighted me. I had to do a little editing in Audacity and may not have bee...

five little sparrows 12.03.2025

I found this fun song, and realised I had not bought it upto date yet. For some reason I wrote this song, back in the sixties as a calypso number. Maybe I mixed up Lance Percival (remember that was the week that was, maybe not, you are probably too young) with Bob Marley.????? Anyway I tried to get Suno to give me a calypso track. Our ideas on calypso seemed to be miles apart, so I ended up with R...

My Home Town 12.03.2025

Second skim thru my oldest lyric notebook have thrown up songs, which I did not ever perform very often and they got forgotten - as they do. However, using SUNO AI to bring them upto date, I have rediscovered songs which I am happy to say, I am proud to aknowledge. This particular song has also thrown some of my dating assumptions in to disarray. I can date this one to a particular year, because I...

Just A Game 12.03.2025

Been working overtime today with all those tracks that I have had second thoughts about brining upto date. I have given this a synchopated, pop sound - I think. Originall based on a chicago blues song (style and chord sequence) from a guitar tutor I used to learn how to play finger style( yep?) on my first ever guitar. Of course, Suno has its own take on my prompts, as it does.

I'm Gonna Make A New Start 11.03.2025

Still finding lyrics which I thought, I could not use, in my project to update all my old songs, This one was written in April, 1980. Again, the issues I no doubt had have largely been overcome by a little editing, but at this time, I was "churning" out lyrics and simply leaving those which did not "work" - not really finishing them, I guess. Not a concious decision, I must have had some feeling f...

Wanted 10.03.2025

I seem to have glossed over a few more songs which maybe I shouldn't have done. A few small edits and repetitions of a couple of sections - seems to be all that is needed. Maybe I was being too hard on myself by ignoring them. Any thoughts?

Searching For My Soul 10.03.2025

This is, I think, the first R&B/soul track I have uploaded. I think it was the lyric which was the problem, simply difficult to fit the genres I normally work with. I tried 2/3 including jazz and it was the jazz which came closest to my original feeling for this lyric. Sruggling, I suddenly realised with "soul" as a theme, I ought to try R&B but slow and sultry - it seems to have worked, I am plea...

Still waters 09.03.2025

A new version of this song, updated by using Suno AI,

I am waiting 09.03.2025

This is another song I overlooked because the lyric was "too short" .As with the last uploaded track, I simply repeated the whole lyric and includeda couple of solos. I really am glad I looked back and found these two songs in mu very first notebook for my lyrics, this song from the mid to late 1960's.

Away From Me 08.03.2025

As I approach the end of my project to record all my 250 or so songs (written since 1959), I am looking thru my lyrics collection and wondering if any od the ones which I have left out "should" be included. This is one that I wrote around 1962 (+ or -) before I became a Teenager. I am not sure why I nearly discarded this song, I was always very fond of it. So here it is updated withbacking from Su...

A New Day 08.03.2025

An experiment. I found a genre called meditation on Suno, and wondered if I could use it to present a poem with an orcestral backing. Would it be able to present the poem by speaking rather than singing. Well it did not work this time (I will be trying again) but I did enjoy the result.

Yesterday's A Long Time Gone 07.03.2025

I don't often write songs based on personal experience, this is one a few rare occasions. A very close family member had a very bad experience, which changed his life drastically.

When My World Just Caved In 07.03.2025

A somewhat strange lyric with unfortunately no real "release". But as part of the project to update my old song catalogue, I had decided not to do any more than minimum editing - maybe when I have more time as I di like this song very much.

I remember 06.03.2025

Looking back on lost delights, I have now got to a period when I captured lyrics of my songs on a laptop, would you believe thst guess is 2010-2020. I wrote very little in the early years of the millenium, turned for a few years to "ART", and the art work on this image is one of my pastel paitings from that period. No connection between the two creations, just the idea of "hills"

Bittersweet Memories 06.03.2025

I am falling in love with the pseudo-flameno /alternative rock style. Trying not to use it too often though. Another song without a clear dating, but likely to be around 2020. From memory I would say before the pandemic struck. I hope you like this as much as I do, although if you are not that fond of the acoustic guitar, if you have got that far, you could end by 3:30. After that it's all there i...

I've Lost My Baby (guitar mix) 05.03.2025

The first of two versions of this song, I actually prompted for guitar and harmonica - but Suno only gave me the guitar. So I tried again. This time I got guitar and harmonica - and piano. However, the tempo was raised, which I did not like quite as much. An apples and pears decision, I flunked out and picked both! The next upload will be the slightly faster version. I really do love both!

I've Lost My Baby (cover) 05.03.2025

As promised the up-tempo cover of the last song, with additional instrumentation Hope you like it?

The Happiness Tree 04.03.2025

A song for "tree huggers" from the 1960's. I wrote this after being inspired by an article in a newspaper on the international day of the tree, this year (2025) it is on July 25th. A little bit of fun really, I wanted 2 more songs to complete a playlist/album without drawing on material from this millenium. There were a few songs I had passed over in putting songs from my back catalogue through th...

My Love 04.03.2025

Another song from the 1960's which seems to have nearly been forgotten, but this makes up for it - I hope. The next batch wil be songs written since the millenium.

I Had A Dream (piano) 03.03.2025

I have said it before, the AI can work so much better when the lyrics are well stuctured, short well "punctuated" lines and with explicit tags where possible. I also find that lone wordy prompts can confuse the AI, and lead to more randomness. Well on this one, after 2 iterations I had 4 usable tracks, unfortunately I had to choose 3 of them to forget. The reasons where almost ridiculous, The firs...

I’m going back to where I belong 03.03.2025

Yes I know it's a silly AI image, bjut I was so amused by the guitar in the image that I decided to use it. Anyway, I love the song (I always say that!) The lyrics are mine, written in 1986, but the melodies are a little different to my original. I re-ordered the lyrics because it was a very short lyric, I probably meant to add additional verse, etc and did not entr it in date order (to my noteboo...

Still I See You 02.03.2025

Another of my favourite songs, I wrote this one in 1990 and it has a very similar structure to "Images" which I have recently posted. Not a lot to say about this song, except. I am unlike many singer-songwriters in that I do not write for personal experience. They are usually second hand feelings/emotions kicked off by a word or phrase which I have read or heard, that triggers the writing process...

She'll Find Somebody Else Who Can 02.03.2025

Another big jump forward in time (new family growing) to 1986.I think Suno has done a great job with this track. I have also learned that underlining a word /syllable can lead to it being accented by the AI, something I have had trouble with ever since starting on SUNO. I have never seen this little trick mentioned anywhere else. Lots of ways can achieve the effect but all are subject to the rando...
