All my own AI assisted tracks, are free to download. I do not monetise any of these tracks; I do however claim copyright in all but a few of the lyrics and the music in many of the lyricsI have been writing songs "on and off" since1959 until the present. As a songwriter, I write purely for the pleasure it gives me. I have always been pleased with my songs which have been mainly from genres such as folk/blues, rock and roll and general pop (in the style of the sixties). My musical skills are quite limited and the early demos on Soundcloud, prior to two years ago, are of me singing and accompany...

Epizody

Let The Music Play 17.08.2025

A first for me & Suno, using the Inspro feature of the newest version; in essence I can tell Suno to use a playlist of my songs to "inspire" a new song. It uses styles of songs in the playlist to generate the new song. Hopefully any new songs I create using this feature will develop a "style" which should represent decisions I have made in the past. This song also has provided a new persona for us...

How Can I Tell 16.08.2025

This was an accidental song, I wanted to play with the Suno v4.5plus features. So there are a few issues with the lyric which I may not have allowed - just outside my comfort zone - potential double entendres. But I was in a hurry to churn out a "full" lyric. More editing than I would usually spend time on, far more than average for me; But I was working to the clock. I am fairly happy with the wa...

Only You (cover) (Remix 2025) 15.08.2025

Another cover of myself singing an old song by The Platters. This version remixed in Suno v4.5

When you were sweet sixteen (cover) (Remix2025) 14.08.2025

A beautiful ballad written in 1898, by an American. Since then this has been associated with many artists, my own introduction to the song was after hearing a version by Davy Arthur and The Fureys, an irish folk group. It was quite a big hit and has become associated with them to the extent that many think of it as an Irish folk song,. This version has been remixed in Suno from a recording I made...

Never No More (Remix 2025) 13.08.2025

Another in the series of remixes, from original recordings of me singing with a simple strummed uke for company. The lyrics and the melodies of the song are therefore both original and written by myself, John Dyhouse.

Shadows Of The Past (Remix v4.5) 09.08.2025

After 12 months with Suno I have accumulated a little experience using prompts/tags and the appreciation of using them in order to obtain what I want within reason. Of course, I am now left with a few tracks which leave a lot to be desired. I never did aim for perfection! But this song left me wondering if I could do better. Early experiments were often simply about genre and style. And with the n...

The Empty Chair 07.08.2025

I was looking thru my notebook today and found this half-finished song, Mmmm, I thought, not like me. I rather liked the original ideas although I had run down one or two rabbit hols which is why I probably left it - and forgot about it ? I took the lyric to pieces and reassembled it with some new ideas. This was this was the result, a couple of moths late! First run thru with Suno, I chose an alt...

I Want To Tell The World 06.08.2025

Sometimes I write a song which screams to me COUNTRY. This was one of those songs. I sometimes write a song without a genre in mind, and now with Suno's help, deciding on a genre becomes something which can be left until after it is written. Anyway, Country it is this time - well country-rock, just to spice things up a little. Hope you like it as much as I do?

Going to the City (Mastered) (Remix1b) 04.08.2025

This is a direct remix (Suno) from a demo of myself, singing and playing guitar. so the lyrics, melodies and guitar are all written by myself. Note: on this track, the AI must have not recognised the lyrics correctly, and inserted a different interpretation - something which we poor humans do many times when listening to todays rock, etc.

My Red Corvette 03.08.2025

A rock track strongly biased by the flamenco guitar, cajon and clapping. All lyrics by myself. Useless information: I had just started watch a rerun of the first "red Dwarf" series on Cable TV, here in the UK. And I was looking for a memorable first line, to replace " just an ordinary road" which was my original working title. I am glad that I did. Hope you like the track.

Welcome To My Arms (soul mix) 02.08.2025

I really had to include this |Soul version of this song; as promised yesterday, "thar she blows". The more I hear this the more I liked it. Hope you do too!

Welcome To My Arms 01.08.2025

Not my usual style - of writing or genre, but here it is. This came just slightly ahead of a soul ballad, which may still be uploaded in the near future. Any way hope you like it!

Love At Last 30.07.2025

I worked hard on this lyric, so was looking for a high quality production from Suno, however I think that under some circumstances v4.5 is producing shimmer again. It is almost like a low volume string/keyboard backing - perhaps it is? But Suno certainly brings out the anthemic vibes on this track, hope you like it.

hey, stranger (Instrumental Remix) 27.07.2025

A remix of "Hey Stranger" (written by myself) in the style of a 1960's instrumental. Anybody else a fan of The Shadows or The Ventures. Still music I listen to from my very large collection of original vinyl and CD.

Hey Stranger (Remix2025) 27.07.2025

This song has special connotations for me, written after I received an unwelcome diagnosis a few years ago now. I was given many choices by my surgeon, and needed to make a choice. A wonderfully confidant and happy man who saw me through a difficult time. I guess when I was making the choice, I wrote the song as a kind of therapy. This was a cover of an older demo (just me and my Uke) which I reco...

I really need to know (Remix2025) 26.07.2025

I do love this song, I have in the past recorded it quite simply, just me and my ukulele. I have also produced a version with full instrumentation by Suno; however with this remix I have covered the first demo and maintained the beautiful simplicity with sparse backing, hope you like it.

(Life's A) Moving Picture Show (Remix2025) 26.07.2025

And here is another cover of one of my early recordings - just me and my Uke. Difference here is that I Have given it a Country-Rock genre to put thru Suno. Again, this is just for my own entertainment, but I hope that you like it as Much as I do. Lyrics and melodies written by myself , !978 from memory but wiil update if I am wrong.

Silent Lady (remix2025) 25.07.2025

Another cover, of an original song from the early 1960's. From a version with vocal and solo ukulele by myself. With a little hint of Spain, in the cover version.

After You've Gone (cover) (remix2025) 25.07.2025

Looking backward! I am starting a collection (playlist) of covers of some of my early tracks on Soundcloud, at a time when I was singing and playing a uke/guitar. I often referred to them as "me and my uke" or "me and my guitar". I did get some very nice comments on many of these but covering the tracks on Suno has smashed the originals in my own view. This is one of those covers, and incidentally...

Re-Ignite The Dawn (instrumental remix) 24.07.2025

An instrumental remix. By now, if you follow me you should know I love an instrumental version of some of my favourite compositions

My Dog Ran Off With The Keys 20.07.2025

A short, fun poem set to music; Barber shop quartet style. I added sound effects, a barking dog in Audacity. (effects free from Pixabay}. I really love what I can do with my poetry in Suno. The poem:- MY DOG RAN OFF WITH THE KEYS My dog ran off with the keys to my car. it’s true, please believe what I say. The distance from home to here is so far, I'm just lucky to get here today, At all! How on e...

Re-Ignite The Dawn 19.07.2025

A difficult lyric to write, I am still not sure of it but love the song. I was so involved with finding the right lines that I totally forgot to think about the rhyme scheme, and have ended up with three verses and three different rhyme schemes, but it works for me. It is basically in a minor key, but I had the last lines in the outro sun in the relative major key to raise the mood. Hope you like...

No Light To Guide Me 19.07.2025

This song was one that gave me some difficulties. I had a basic idea, and quickly wrote the chorus BUT the rest of the lyrics did not come easily. Maybe I was trying too hard. In the end, I resorted from AI and I have come to love this song even though it started life as a laid back jazzy number. it sat on my PC for, perhaps weeks, I lost track. Only finding it again when I was adding some lyrics...

Our Love's An Illusion (The Circle80 Initiative) 18.07.2025

Have had a writing holiday, with no musical acoutrements whatsoever. Having posted a poem set to music yesterday, I decided that today I would write a song. Maybe not my best but had found a new "method" for writing lyrics; and used it to create this song. A quiet and melodic song this time, hope you like it.

The Wind 17.07.2025

A strange outcome, I asked Suno for dark singer songwriter, however it sounds to me more like "metal". My own fault I guess. I asked for lots of distortion and a bass drone. But the thing is it is almost all that I had asked for. Rain, thunder and wind effects are added in audacity. I wrote the poem, "The Wind", when Hurricane Katrina caused so much trouble for New Orleans, thinking about climate...
