Hillside Church

It is more important that we have an end times heart than it is for us to have an end times road map. What the Old Testament began in its partial understanding of death was completed in Christ.

As we continue our passthrough of the New Testament and the end of days, we cover both the Great Apostasy and The Days of Noah and their roles in God's timeline of the end of days. Join us!

In our lesson today, Jesus divides the sheep and goats and in this judgment event the question is: Do we think rightly of God's judgment as Christians. Join us as we finish Matthew 25.

As Christians, we should never live in such a way that causes us in our hearts or in our efforts, to be indifferent or absent from the purposes and plans of God.

We often mistake grace as an excuse to do nothing with our faith. The parable of the talents gives us the expectation of Jesus on how we are to live. Join us as we cover the promises and warnings found in this parable.

As you consider the lamp you have been called to shine, and the oil you have received, how are you doing in the waiting?

A watchful believer see's the world's condition spiritually, not from the lens of fear or hopelessness, but through the lens of faith.

How does the book of Psalms direct us through the trials of life? As the elders begin their year in the Psalms, join us as both elders answer this question from the struggles of King David.

As we continue the major end times text in the New Testament before getting into Revelation, join us in our second week covering Matthew 24.

We are working our way towards Revelation as we look at the end times text in the New Testament leading up to the book of Revelation itself. Join us as we study Matthew 24.

In Revelation chapter 1, we see John's challenges and at the very same time, we see his victory in Jesus. The Christian today walks a very similar world where we will have seasons where all we may have is the hope of Christ. Join us for this short devotion on "the first and the last."

We have often believed there was one view of Revelation. To consider this study and to learn what those who came before us have understood about this book, we must take an introductory look into the four differing perspectives. Join us as we begin this study.

To conclude this series on what it means to be a disciple, we learn a great deal from the teachings of Jesus, which cover seeds, loaves, and the new creation. When Jesus declares, "I am the bread of life," what does that mean for those following Him? Join us in our final lesson on the call of the disciple.

A disciple is both a runner and an ambassador. The runner is committed to the lifelong journey of faith, pressing forward between earth and heaven with perseverance. The ambassador carries the gospel into the world, faithfully representing Christ through words and actions.

The message of Christmas has never changed, but how each of us sees Christmas changes often. Herod saw Christmas different than Simeon. Mary saw Christmas different than the Wise Men. The question that challenges us all is simply, "How will you see Christmas this year?"

Today, we discuss a greatly neglected topic of what it means to be a debtor of grace and what the implications are of being a soldier for Jesus. The Bible has a lot to say about the calling upon our lives.

One of the greatest reasons we should care so greatly about the Church is this: Jesus is building His Church. As the Master Builder, the Cornerstone, He is filling His Church with priests, and when the work is done, Jesus will return.

"We have been called out of the world so that Christ might send us back into the world, in order that we might rescue others from the world." ~ Warren Wiersbe

Join us as we take a tour of the identity of a disciple of Jesus. What does it mean to be a child of God following the Good Shepherd? We will begin a study of what it means to be a disciple.

In Proverbs, there is vast knowledge of many topics and challenges in life. Join us as we cover generosity and what a biblical marriage looks like.

The echoes of Revelation are seen in this final chapter of Joel as we enter into the Valley of Decision.

Listen as we finish Joel chapter 2. Pastor David Ashworth dives deep into this lesson of our Lord pouring out His Spirit to everyone who calls on His name.

One of the beautiful things about God is that He is merciful. When we are unfaithful, He is patient; He reasons with us, and He restores us. As we consider life and the problems we face in the world, God is jealous for His people, and He has a plan for our future.

Today is the call to get our house in order. Today is the day for us to get our hearts in order.

Listen as Pastor David Ashworth takes us through Joel chapter 2, digging deeper into what is the Day of the Lord and the importance for us to live as watchmen.
