In his parting speech to the Ephesian elders, Paul showed with his actions and words what makes for a faithful shepherd in God's beloved church.

The resurrection of Jesus Christ has far-reaching implications about how Christians live and how we die.

As Paul headed towards Jerusalem, he took with him fruit from his ministry among the nations.

There is only one true and living God who can rescue humans from serving our handmade gods.

God grows his church usually by ordinary and sometimes extraordinary means.

Paul received support of the body of Christ and reassurance from the words of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Paul’s time in Athens provides an example of how to present Jesus and the resurrection to a cultured non-Christian audience.

The proclamation of the King’s word provokes two opposite responses.

In three missionary encounters in the city of Philippi, Jesus showed that he can take care of our true needs.

Paul's ministry took some unexpected turns, but through it all the Lord showed He was in control.

The Jerusalem Council kept the door of salvation open to all Jews and non-Jews who repent and believe in Jesus Christ.

The closing section of the first missionary journey of Paul and Barnabas moved from confusion to clarification to conflict to consolidation to celebration.

In two more cities, Paul and Barnabas preached the gospel boldly, which resulted in many new believers and violent opposition.

In his sermon to the synagogue in Antioch, Paul emphasized that Jesus is the fulfillment of all of Old Testament history and prophecy.

The Antioch church set the example of following the Spirit's leading to release the church's most gifted workers into the mission field so that more churches can be established.

God opened the floodgates of the gospel in Antioch, bringing Jews and Gentiles together in Christ, strengthening their faith such that they sacrificially sent aid to suffering believers in Judea.

The Son of God shared in our flesh and blood, took our humanity, became like us in every essential way, and can help us in our temptations.

In a series of events that recall important Old Testament stories, God delivered James THROUGH death, delivered Peter FROM death, and handed Herod over TO death.

When Peter explained what happened at Cornelius‘s house, the Jewish Christians were amazed that God had given salvation also to non-Jews!

Through two visions, two visits, and the pouring out of the Holy Spirit, Peter learned that Christ's work removed the barriers between Jews and Gentiles so they can be members of one church.

During a time of peace, God built up his church through the preaching of his word and powerful signs.

-Jesus revealed himself to the persecutor Saul of Tarsus and called him to faith and to ministry as his chosen instrument to take his name to the nations.

After God used Philip to save many Samaritans, he sent him to evangelize one who had come from the ends of the Earth.

Because of a general persecution in Jerusalem, the believers were scattered and took the gospel to Judea and Samaria, where many believed in Christ.

In Stephen's speech before the Jewish Council, he gave a master class on the meaning of Old Testament history, which culminated in Jesus.
